Gypsum plaster (plaster of Paris)
Gypsum plaster, also known as plaster of Paris, is a white powder consisting of calcium sulphate hemihydrate. The natural form of the compound is the mineral bassanite.
Plaster of Paris, or gypsum plaster, is made by heating gypsum to 150 degrees centigrade, and then mixing the dry plaster powder with water. The powdered gypsum is mixed about two parts plaster to one part water, to create a paste.

Yes sure Properties of POP 1. It is non-combustible and non-flammable. 2. It slowly expands with a slight setting upon it. (Any surface). 3. After drying it forms a hard mass without any crack.

The . Represents how many water of crystallization one formula unit of calcium sulphate contains. Since it contains 1/2 molecule of water we write it as CaSO4.1/2H2O
