Nice to see somebody making the improvements to their equipment that the factory should have done to begin with! I love the comparison between Cat and Bobcat, as I work for a county road department in central Oregon ..... our shop is VERY Cat biased and we have the 299D XHP as well, like you mentioned I've gotten pretty handy at slipping tracks back on with just a stick layed diagonally across the prongs or whatever they are that centers the track on the drive sprocket and idlers. I've been mowing county road shoulders and right of ways with it (yes mowing with a 6' brush hog 🤢🤮😡🤬) and side hill with that 299 is a damn joke! I'm 6' 4" 215lbs and there ain't but room enough around me in that thing but for a sodie pop and a pair of hand shoes on the floor for when the damn thing slips a track..........I'd love to take an 870 for a stroll with a munching head on it, that's what our outfit really needs because I'm mowing stuff now that hasn't been addressed in 20 years so there's stiff I'm hand falling with a saw to establish only half of true ROW distance off centerline of our roads. In those areas I've got a Ford which is a yellow New Holland versatile tractor with a boom mount hammer flail mower which is a worse off option than the brush mower...........but I absolutely love the work!! I really really badly want to work for myself doing just this with the right pieces of equipment of coarse, so seeing these comparisons you've shared is very helpful to a guy like me and I thank you sir! What if it has a dpf? Can it be deleted along with the egg valve and cooler? Like asked earlier are there any fault codes thrown from deleting these? I really want a s770 I found but it has dpf on it and I'm afraid I'll regret the purchase if I can't delete it down the road.

I have a 2011 s750... could I remove the egr on it the same way? It doesn't have a dpf but it is a 3.4l engine instead of the 3.8

How loud is your machine with the straight pipe. I want to delete my 770 but I would think the straight pipe would be too loud

My 2013 T870 has a DPF and an EGR and I would like to delete them both. Do you know if I will get any codes for the DPF being deleted? From what I have gathered, the 2015 model T870’s do not come with a DPF as the two previous years did.

So what is the actual differences between all of the tier 3 v3800's as there is a wide range of hp offerings across models, for example Some T300 81hp T750 (my machine) 85hp T770 T320 92hp T870 100hp Do they have different internals, turbos, injectors, injection pumps, boost, timing? Or has bobcat just detuned some models so that they can offer a larger lineup? What's different between a t300 t320 t750 t770 besides a few turns of some set screws on the injection pump?

Hi Warren I just got a Forestry door from ebay but my Bob Cat T870 don't allow me to start my bob cat forestry cutter any Ideas on how to solve this problem as my dealer is saying then I have to get the original door because the door sensor if specific to this application. Great video thank you

You have to have it programmed at bobcat

Do you need to just unplug the ERG valve or do you need to block it off?

You can just unplug it and it "should" shut off if it's still working properly but to be sure and get the most out of the delete it'll need to blocked off too.

Warren I have a 2012 S770 tier III kubota with EGR on it do I need to do any engine coding to get rid of that EGR crap or is it just matter or removing that stuff off an no codes ?

nic frey these 3800 Kubota engines are completely manual that bobcat used in some up until 2015. Same engine the cat 299 runs just without all the Electronics..
