Instead of Apple TV , just buy a USB-C to HDMI cable . Connect iPhone to ottocast And avoid more cables and devices in vehicle.

I thought this kind of device was to mirror your phone while driving I’ve never seen it with the Apple TV hooked into it lol. I don’t think this will work with my 2025 Camry because it has wireless CarPlay. In my 2022 Camry, it has wired USB A CarPlay. It’ll work with that one.

This works great, and the sky is the limit to what you can plug in. Been very happy with this.

Cool will see if I have car play in my 17 Ram. I didn't subscribe to satellite raido after the initial subscription. I've been wanting to view video on the screen the best I found some years back was a cable that could be connected to the radio itself. But you have to take the radio out an connect to specific connectors for video and audio.Didn't want to risk messing up my radio when I can play on my phone and use bluetooth for sound at least. You didn’t mention that when you use one of them you lose Apple car play, so you have to unplug that and plug your wired phone back in, wish they added wireless Apple car play

Can you test with Hotspot and see if the conection would be strong enough

Does it work with android box like google Chromecast?

Any issues with audio lag? I have seen some similar devices but some people have complained audio lag (lip sync).

Apple apparently as a similar way that has been out for years. Now it should work for Android.

What did you install to get apple car play? I have a 2014 LTZ and never figured out how to get it working

I’ve got another video on how to add CarPlay to a 2014 or 2015. They did not come with it from factory, so you have to swap out the HMI. I recommend White Automotive and Media, they are who I used and couldn’t be happier. Had it for several years now.

Use a small inverter that plugs into your 12 volt power port to power the stick

Also you can get the internet on your phone and connect the phone to the Roku using the iPhone hotspot. On occasion my home internet goes down and I use my hotspot to connect to my Roku. However that can use allot of data for streaming if you don’t have unlimited. In my car I have a car plan that gives me unlimited data on it through AT&T

I’m an Apple Junkie too. Instead of using an Apple TV can I connect an iPhone? Currently, while waiting for my wife I watch movies on my iPad with audio going thru CarPlay.

I would not recommend using a device like this for streaming while you’re driving. In some areas it’s illegal plus even if you aren’t watching it while driving it can still be a distraction. I would only use a streaming device in the car when parked for safety

I don't recommend streaming and driving but...I tried all the stuff on YT with Android Auto but the updates shut me down. So I got a cell phone holder and wrapped it around the screen to hold my ipad , then plug the ipad into the car, now I got audio and Netflix or YT on the road. Only for long drives, not in the city. 7:59

Great another thing to distract drivers, now they will be watching Netflix or KZread videos while driving. This needs to be eliminated via an over the air update that the owners can't stop.
