Bot really. Tbh, for me, Octavian was a loyal Roman and a pretty cool Roman. I was hoping for a chemistry between Annabeth and Octavian, considering he looked a lot like Luke.

@@ishowbiq uhhhh, okay, he literally went insane in his thirst for power thing, he's probably been like that for a long time in the legion and just kinda jumped at an opportunity. Defending all the stuff he did by saying he was loyal.....I mean, he disobeyed his praetor. He was willing to fight and cause all that destruction and chaos, not because he wanted to defend Rome, but cause he wanted power, went against everything Reyna said so he could kill all the Greeks and prove he'd be a better fit for praetor. He was a narcissist. Come on, We all know his motivation for everything he did wasn't *just* the Greek/Roman rivalry thing. Octavian was messed up. And the thought of him and Annabeth is honestly even worse than Percy and Clarisse 🤢. She would *never* . Also, don't disrespect Luke like that lmao, Octavian was described as incredibly pale and skinny. Just cause they have(somewhat) the same hair color doesn't mean they're identical and there's no reason for her to look at him and think of Luke. They're *nothing* alike Still tho, I can get people like Gabe not being included considering he was abusive towards Percy and Sally. I'd say he probably wasn't even acknowledge to have died here cause both his life and death were just....not the most heroic. It was sad that he turned out the way he did, but not in the way it was for Luke, ykwim. Luke was a hero because although he was misled, he did the right thing in the end. Octavian on the other hand, went completely mental and exploded

@@ananyam9950I respect your opinion on Octavian, But bear with me. See, Octavisn wasn't power hungry, and definitely not a narcissist. He had sincere intentions of restoring the gods to their 'proper' form as Romans. He didn't side with Gaia, and he begrudgingly Agreed to hold a friendship with the Greeks, and only lost his cool when Leo fired at the forum(yeah, he was possessed by an Eilodon, but no way in hell Octavian would buy that). For me, he is kind of the Red Skull type of villain, a person who is kind of evil but believes in his actions to be the best. And seriously, Percy said in the Son of Neptune that he remembered seeing Octavian somewhere. Amd there was no mention of Blondes with icy blue eyes anywhere in PJO, except Luke.

I cried so much when Frank killed Caligula. Jason and Frank are my two favorite characters. I would have been fine if that was Frank’s death, but I guess it’s fine he is still alive. That way he can still meet Alex, Samirah and the Kanes in an epic changeling crossover (only if the whole riordanverse crossover ever happens)

bc too much characters 'cheated' death. First, Hazel was ressurected. Then Leo survived. After his death, Frank somehow survived, and in general most of the demigods were lucky to survive like everything. I think Rick wanted it to not be a Disney princess movie where everyone lives happily ever after, and more like a book with more meaning.

I heard somewhere that he died because of the prophecy of the seven. Jason or Leo was supposed to die and stay dead. And although Leo did die, he didn’t stay dead. So Jason had to die. I don’t truly know if that’s the real reason why, but I heard it somewhere and it made sense to me.

In the sevens prophecy “seven halfbloods shall answer the call. To storm or fire the world must fall. And oath to keep with a Final breath. Foes bear arms at the doors of death” since fire killed Gaea and Leo survived to fulfill his oath to get calypso off the island Jason had to die making his final oath the one to represent all the gods and goddesses

I still cannot get over Jason's death. It's almost like Rick Riordan didn't even write the Trials of Apollo because there were so many things in that series that we didn't think Riordan would ever do.

I still tear up when I see Jason from time to time.It’s so sad.Piper was the one who initiated the break up but Jason still loved her.He still cared for her,and ended up sacrificing for her,and thus going to Elysium but being lonely down there,separated from everyone else only being able to contact Nico and hazel given their children of hades/Pluto but being separated from everyone else just so piper could continue on.He sacrificed his own happiness for her even when she broke his heart so terribly.We all love you Jason, forever and ever.I’m tearing up again😢😢

Ok, what really hits hard is understanding this. Like if you think back, we grew up with these characters, some of them more real than the people in our lives. The fact that the series can't go on forever is sadder than any death. These were not just books to most of the people here. There were memories, friends and so much more. Why am I getting so emotional about books? Idk but there u have it. We really owe you one Uncle Rick, thank you soooo much!

When Leo 'died' I had a real mental breakdown. Legit, I just threw my book across my room and just started screaming

Inside my head, but wait... Piper and Jason... Why? ... I ship Piper and Jason to much for Jason to die on me. I haven't read his death yet but when I read I bet I'm going to cry. Mostly everyone I know thinks his character wasnt that good but I love Jason. He was nice and sweet. He is my favorite character out of the series.

And the scene or part where Piper and that find Jason at the beach, It was like I could hear her sorrow and weeping, thinking about all the dangerous adventures they've been through together (with Leo too) but also being madly in love through it all like ugh it broke my heart to hear Piper with a gf (which is at least better than a bf because I could NOT picture her with any other boy 🥲) but lemme tell you now if uncle rick try pulling that on Percy and Annabeth...we riot, them two have literally been through he** together, like words can't describe, they've literally seen eachother at their worsts and also in the worst situtations, for lifers periodt.

Honestly for a kids series Rick Riordan really touched upon a lot of difficult subjects in most of his books. He showed grief and the darkness it can envelop you into (this can be applied to a lot of characters), he showed us what it’s like being a foster kid as well as having a crappy home life and parents (again can be represented by a bunch of characters), being homeless (Magnus Chase), having disabilities (Hearthstones deafness and ASL from Magnus Chase), he showed us the difficulties that people from the LGBTQ face (Nico Di Angelo, Alex Fierro), and even having ADHD and dyslexia. So many things we can learn about from a kids series and that’s why Rick Riordan is one of the best authors to ever live.
