Sean McCormack former Sligo & Donegal County footballer and native of Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo paid a special tribute to the great Mayo man Dr. Mick Loftus then President elect of the GAA when he attended the Donegal Centenary celebration dinner in the Central Hotel Donegal Town in 1984 where also the Donegal Senior GAA team of the Century were presented. Dr. Mick R.I.P. ( recently passed 22/4/2023 at age 93). He was Mayo's last link with their famous teams of the 1950's.
