As a user of a Tiwal 3.2 I saw this new rival boat with great enthusiasm. The price (1/3) is attractive. However I have serious concerns because all the essential elements very solid at Tiwal (which must be hyperstable for our safety) seem to be very poor: I doubt that these two daggerboards fixed like this can withstand the wind for a long time and will not break or else the fixation point would be ruined. Same problem with fixing the mast. Longevity like that is inimagnibable. At TIWAL both are based on metal elements.

More talk than test. So many issues. I think I'll become a shark and go round biting them.

This is very poorly thought out. The mainsheet is waaaaay to far back and THERE IS NO TILLER EXTENSION. The only possible way that you would be able to sail this thing is if you were sitting so far back but that would create so much drag. It seems very impractical and not to mention uncomfortably small. Also what if you go over something and get caught on one of the boards. You can't just lift it up

totally agree with all your stated issues, what I like about the tiwal, is how intelligent the design is, how practical to sail, sit in etc

I think the mainsheet location needs to be thought out.

Too low aspect ratio on the dagger boards, no tiller extension and no hiking straps. I will be amazed if I meet someone who actually likes this dinghy.

Everything about this looks wrong, what in gods name is that tiller extension and how did they think that having the mast so far forward is a good idea
