The 1st youtube review that says this speaker is bad. I got one for myself... for a 315g weighted speaker, this is probably the best sounding bt speakers out there (as of 2024). This is my perfect companion for my work trips.

Man you have totally missed the point. This speaker tuned in stock form is ok, but the real beauty of this speaker happens when you actually tune it yourself. Because you can tune it to your liking. And for such a small speaker, it actually handles all the frequencies better than any other speaker its size on the market, especially in its price range. The clip doesn't hold a candle to this thing. Not even half as good. Honestly go check out Oluv's reviews. And maybe learn a thing or two while you're there lol. I dont mean that in a negative way, because I always go there to learn tons. But my point being, he really shows the capabilities of this tiny speaker, with proper mics etc. and does an amazing job of comparing it to all kinds of other speakers in its size and price range, and then some. I have recently acquired this speaker, and mind you I've owned the clip, the bose micro soundlink, the ue roll 1 and 2, the minirig and many other miscellanous, and I can personally tell you from many years experience, as a NYC cyclist that desperately depends on good sound for my ride, that this speaker is easily one of the best mini speakers HANDS DOWN!! I might put the UE Roll in this category, as well as the minirig. But the others are laughable at best. And the cherry on the cake apparently, is to pair it up with another in stereo!!! I cant wait to get a second.

My experience is totally absolutely best ever with this little peace of a beast. It felt in a 1.3metres deep water for 1 hour, and it was still working... Bluetooth stooped because of water wall i guess 😂 Tribit stuff could be double the price, and still outstand JBL any day. But its half the price. Nuts.

*Great review, love mine so much I bought a 2nd, stereo mode is amazin!* I think I may have commented before but... Hope you keep doin reviews, dont get put off by miserable sods leavin negative comments cos they expect every reviewer to film with $1m cameras, a $1m crew and be an expert from day 1.

Not sure how useful that strap is - no real slack on it so will it fit round much?

I’ll let you know tomorrow when I get it. I also was thinking that strap won’t hold on a bumpy trail if on a bike which I’m installing it in a e-scooter, if possible even

@@InternetExploring I like the speaker but yeah, there is not much slack beyond fitting bike handlebars or under your seat. I just put it around by belt cause my escooter sadly has very thick steel. Also the bass hits pretty hard for how small it is compared to a jbl boombox lol. That’s why I put it in my belt cause vibration & electronics on my 🛴. Definitely worth the buy and the battery lasts along time and holds its charge when not in use

It's very useful, but after two years of use, it broke on me

You need to use the equalizer in the app to tune it to your liking... I love this speaker and use it on my motorcycle

Plus , I bought 2 and paired them to party mode while riding and I use stereo mode around the house when I'm checking how my mixes sound on small speakers... Definitely worth the money

Unfortunately not, these use different systems

*Absolutely adore this v2 speaker, more than the v1, and more than my Bose Micro, I use 2 in stereo mode.* I appreciate your honest opinion, maybe it's a preference thing, some will prefer one over the other, eg I liked my Bose more at first but listenin to different genres I changed my mind as the vocals sounded nicer on the Tribit. So some will prefer v1, or even a Bose. Great to head your views/opinions 👏🏼👏🏼 I look forward to more. If we all agreed with each other, the world would be borin lol.

I appreciate this comment a lot, way too many people go mad when they hear a different opinion to their own. Everyone has their own music styles and tastes and speakers perform very differently depending on which you like. 👍 it’s great to hear of someone enjoying this speaker, and for such great value too.

You have to change your mic on the video its to low..your voice is very important to hear it properly!

Your laziness in not mentioning that this has a companion app where you can modify the EQ is... a shame. If I'm being honest.

It makes a significant difference on mine. And if you're going to harp on your dislike of the stock EQ, it at least deserves a mention, as customizability is a benefit that many of those others lack. @@HammoTechReviews

Everything has an EQ nowadays. I don’t feel it’s anything special to mention. Especially seeing as they are built into every streaming app as well. I’m glad you enjoy yours though. 👍

Skullcandy is for children and the JBL Clip has dreadful sound - only for the JBL fanboys!

That’s a massive generalisation. The new range of Skullcandy speakers are very impressive, and great value for money. And there are lots of JBL “fanboys” for a reason 😜

@@childofthe60s100 Bought the Soundcore 2 after seeing good reviews on Amazon - it sounded abysmal and I packaged it up to send it back inside half an hour. A couple years later and I bought the Motion plus which was heavily hyped and again crushing disappointment. Cheap, tinny sounding rubbish

@@hottube135 I really like the new JBL GO 4 which has just been released (video coming soon). And I think that's falls short of your budget as well. You could even spend a little more and go for the skull candy terrain, those a very good value for money
