Saw this line up at Lilly’s in Somerville. Met Mike. What a wonderful guy. They blew me away, and his drumming changed floored me . Thank you for posting this!

Is the guitar player playing a peavey Wolfgang special? That's kinda bizarre considering half this album was apparently the leftovers from the follow up to vh3

@@BusinessZeus Yes and that would be in lyric only. I really doubt Eddie would’ve wrote music just to hand it over to Gary to record for his new band.

There is way more of the VH3 follow up on Hurtsmile “Retrogrenade” than on TOJ (not much).

You can't really hear it from the video, but Mike Mangini was doing some very unique drum work with this project. Sadly, it got buried underneath a wall of bad sound and the distraction of what looks like Gary Cherone having a mid-life crisis on stage...I bet all the people who sponsored this show were disappointed.

+IAMxSugarPlumx me as a drummer, TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU! Busy drumming, but with a lot of taste for the music. One of his bests to me, even better than DT xDDDDD

I respect Gary but he was out of his mind thinking anyone would buy an album of pretentious music like this in 2001. It’s like he took the utter failure of VH3 and doubled down on it.
