The Verve was a band in the 1990's if you look up their Bittersweet Symphony, you will see how he used the instrumentals as the base for the rap. Ren did an amazing job with it! For me, this is one of the iconic songs of the 90's and it takes me back to that time and place, living near the ocean in San Diego. The seagulls were the icing on the cake. There's a lot going on in this. For a start 'The Seagulls' is Brighton & Hove Albion FC's nickname. They are the Premier League's plucky under-dogs. Ren's from Brighton, the whole song is an ode to his hometown. Ending it with 'We're birds of a feather' and the seagull sounds ties up a spiral. He's a clever kid. Puts out a much needed vibe. Hope he goes absolutely interstellar. Seems like a very brave lad with an incredible amount of talent and stoicism. Ren really is a Pure Creative Force. I'm a 51 year old who was lucky enough to see his train coming from behind an Akai mpc in Chester, UK. He's not wrong about street violence. I can't go out since having my head smashed in literally twice. Britain needs to get real with it's attitude to 'drugs'. The street fights are ridiculous. It's alcohol & cocaine related shittery. I stay well away. I'm the proud owner of half a titanium face because of two random play-fighters. Been battered 2 or 3 times since. Self defence is a must in Britain. I'm disabled now. Last guys left me for dead in between 2 parked cars. I was walking, without my necessary crutches from a pub and got hit on the turn. Woke up at night-time. Half deaf. I got hit so hard it broke a piece of bone off in my ear which was later removed by a bedside Dr in the Hospital. Crazy how much that 1 moment changed me. Ended up with 3 cracked ribs too. Unconscious isn't enough for some people sadly. Some people like when you stop moving. I've survived a full unconscious 2-footed stamp on my head at 14-15 years old. Just walking home drunk and a gang hit me. Chester is one of the most beautiful cities on the planet. It has a full 360 degree Roman Wall surrounding it. Gotta be very careful going out on your own though. My son Sam has also been assaulted in town. It's far too common all over. I remember frequent punch-ups in pubs before it got really nasty. This is different. Needless street violence is probably the biggest criminal problem right now in Britain. It ruins so many lives.

Brighton is a seaside city, hence the seagull soundsat the end, though I suspect Ren spliced them in to link to "birds of a feather". There were four takes for "I Ren", though the final one was a one shot. BSS must have been a one shot, though choreographically rehearsed with people who are probably his mates. Easy music to keep time to, though I couldn't see the earbuds or mics.

The UKs knife crime per capita is far less than Americas and our everyday police don't carry guns loads don't even have Tazars. American news is incredibly blast and are known world wide for bending (lying) the truth We have only ever had one school shooting but it was horrific, so we banned hand guns and semi automatics just one year after it. Also Birmingham (a major city in top 5 biggest I think) they have had only one policeman shot in the past 20yrs. One last point in a recent survey 76% of British people are fine with walking home alone in the dark. We're not perfect in plenty of ways but we are no way as bad as the American politicians and press say we are, they spout lies to make America sound better and to keep guns and your money making health INDUSTRY going.

Of course it's less we're a tiny island in comparison. Knife crime is rife in the UK. Majority of youngsters are carrying rambo knifes these days and click together at night time and don't care about the consequences. THAT'S THE REAL UK.

@@BLIND82 the figures are based on per head capita so doesn’t matter on size of country the fact is America has more knife crime than Britain, the pro gun media used and inflated the problem just to deflect on what’s going on in the states just to deflect from the gun problem over there, it’s not perfect over here admittedly but no where as bad as the states, look up the figures of knife crimes in both and you’ll see, UK is not even in top ten.

Gotta be very careful going out on your own though. My son Sam has also been assaulted in town. It's far too common all over. I remember frequent punch-ups in pubs before it got really nasty. This is different. Needless street violence is probably the biggest criminal problem right now in Britain. It ruins so many lives.

Nah I can imagine Jersey as being a really bad commute What was the worst place tho?
Brighton is a seaside city, hence the seagull soundsat the end, though I suspect Ren spliced them in to link to "birds of a feather". There were four takes for "I Ren", though the final one was a one shot. BSS must have been a one shot, though choreographically rehearsed with people who are probably his mates. Easy music to keep time to, though I couldn't see the earbuds or mics.

it's crazy how much detail he pays to the music and that's what I was looking for but I didn't see any mics or anything like that it's wild how this was one shot

He gets a lot of views to his songs from reaction videos. We need to also go to his channel and subscribe!
Yooooo, please react to Ren X Chinchilla - How To Be Me (Live) . Like you, when I like something I REALLY get into it. Somehow I missed this video and just watched it today and OOF! It’s a good one. I think they recorded it the same day as Chalk Outlines cuz she has the same makeup and then crazy rings and nails. BTW found you last night and you are my fave reaction channel!

The original version was a huge hit back in the day, but they sampled The Rolling Stones without going through the proper channels or whatever, got sued and didn't end up making any money off it. Unfortunately, they were one hit wonders here in the States, not sure if they faired better in Britain.

They eventually came to an agreement with the Stones. Richard Ashcroft (singer/songwriter of the Verve) expressly thanked Jagger for being "generous and magnanimous".

I hate the original of this song, something about Richards voice and the fact it makes me feel sick as it takes me back to when I was pregnant with my eldest in 1998 (god I’m old 😂) and had really bad morning sickness lmao. Anyway life story over, the point of this comment was I love this 😂 Ren has a great way of (doing anything) turning tracks I hated into ones I love! Great reaction as usual 🖤

I had a feeling American news exaggerated on that cuz it never made sense to me that the uk is supposedly this terrifying place but we're the ones with the guns, school shooters and also stabbers😭 swear America is ruled by anything that makes folks money

Of course it's less we're a tiny island in comparison. Knife crime is rife in the UK. Majority of youngsters are carrying rambo knifes these days and click together at night time and don't care about the consequences. THAT'S THE REAL UK.
@BLIND82

I'm talking knife not gun, and it's only calculated what has been reported and put on the NCD. There's 100s of stabbings daily in every city. Just not reported on.

@@tribeloui2023 it’s not even in top ten mate, a lie spun by republicans to deflect the serious issues in US. Look up the articles and figures you’ll see.
