Triathlete Sacrifices race to help his Brother

A dazed Jonny Brownlee was helped over the line by his brother Alistair, who shunned the chance to win the race to come to the aid of his younger sibling in a dramatic end to the World Triathlon Series in Cozumel, Mexico.

A world renowned triathlete and professional competitor Schoeman won. It was a great race. We all remember who won. Don't be ridiculous. There were even rule changes from this race. If you actually watched the race and interested in the sport during this time you wouldn't say something so ignorant. You probably couldn't even recite a single triathletes name from any country given the chance. You only remember the Brownlee brothers because of exactly that... They are brothers and that's the only thing you could remember about them. Lol.

@@TheSportsman1977 when you are focused on what the media tells you and not the sport you'll remember the story for obvious reason. If you were actually interested and following the sport and the top athletes at the time you will remember them. I never once watched a single Lance Armstrong race not any cycling race but I can tell you who Lance Armstrong is because the media has imprinted that BS into my head. The winner of this race was a very competitive world renowned athlete. Henri Schoeman. If you were following the world series you would know that. If you are easily manipulated by media you would only know about the Brownlee brothers. Of which you don't know who is who nor would you know who helped who in this clip. Nor would you know anything else about them and their athletic achievements. That I am 100% confident of.

@@Tommyhearnsrighthand Well I wouldn't do this ever, not even for a milion bucks unless the temp is a bit more agreeable, then I might train if I get about 5 y for it lol. But you must have a certain crazy mindset to do this. I flinch at a 10k, let alone a marathon. A triathlon doesn't even fit in my understanding of how you can push your body to that degree. It very likely isn't healthy. Mist look up to them thinking those people are very fit which maybe many are, but heartissues are not uncommon in endurance athletes. I guess the body does attack muscletissue and therefore the heart as well and while we are not built for our modern loves to just sit all day, I don't think we are built for running marathons either, let alone triathlons. More like some sprinting, resting, sprinting again for hunting (I doubt anyone would have chased an animal running for over even 5k, just it was a lot of walking up first and sprinting a few times to get the animal) and walking distances. I wonder who ever came up with this idea of a triathlon. Thligh they must have enough musclemass to perform this, many triathlon participants are pretty skinny. In men it's not as bad as it is in some women it seems (Olympics/WC in Brazil I believe, so many women were so skinny that it looked really unhealthy while others called them very fit. I don't know, I think it's not healthy, but you need a great level of fitness, just it seems most spend a lot of time on endurance and not a lot on growing muscles. Didn't govfor all women and surely not for all guys but these two to me seemed so skinny I am amazed anyone made it, even the last person accomplished sonething absolutely nuts if you think about it. Sorry I can't do short reactions. It's an autistic thing for me.
