Play pingpong under water using iron balls and bat so it doesnt float. Take oxygen tanks and stuffs to breathe under water. U can do it in a swiming pool may be.... I have been saying this for a decade now pls do it :") #challengepongfinity

@@xavierorduno2950 With team up I don't mean ignore nr 3. That would be counterproductive as he will not get any points against. What I meant was: A gives a perfect lay up to B and B smashes it to C. If C returns play it between each other 1 or 2 times to control the ball and repeat.

Yeah but with rules that they are using now, teamming would also be possible if for example 2 players start to let the other make points staying still (like I score throwing the ball to you while you dont answer, then you do it the same to me, and again and again until we want to finish the game). So clearly the best way to play this would be with lives, and only for you to know, teamming is literally impossible to eliminate when there are more than 2 sides in any game, sometimes you just need to believe in the good intentions of the other people.

This would be more logical if you start out with 11 points each and everytime you miss you lose a point. Last one to remain above 0 wins

I think it would make the gameplay a little different since you're not trying to win anymore at first, but just survive. That's because you wouldn't gain points by making good plays, but instead you would be making an another guy lose - in 1v1 it would be the same as the regular game, but with 3 players one player losing doesn't mean you winning. So you could team-up with one of the other guys and make the third guy lose by setting up perfect lays. Would be a different and probably still a cool game, but before one guy gets beat - you wouldn't be playing to win, which one could argue is the whole point of pong.

@@sandrimart1721 Yes and no, if you’ve ever played badminton you’d know of a game called “danish doubles”, it’s essentially a four playered version of what was suggested above, to the T. In those games, especially if the players are any bit decent then the game functions pretty much as normal, people still go for risky plays in hope of getting their opponents down a life, even if it is at a risk to their own. It is because they’re confident in their ability, it is actually incredibly difficult to mess up a smash or a drop if you’ve performed one hundreds or thousands of times and you’re in a a good position. Even if you’re in an unorthodox situation like a different shape players as experienced as these guys here, especially since it’s just for youtube would be as aggressive and as confident as if it was a two player match.

Cool video, interesting new way! I see a potential score calculation problem though. This way, it is easy for A to collaborate with B to never let C win (A always serves badly towards B so B gets free scores). I wonder if we can improve this? Perhaps if a player misses a shot, both opponents should get the score? Less incentive to miss!

Another point is, who get's the point if someone (player A) doesn't hit the table of player B. S'houldn't the player, who made A miss B's table, meaning who played the ball on A's table, get the point instead of B just because his table was missed?

I think the best way to calculate the points is to give the player who misses -1 point.

Since it is triangular, there should be -1. For every rally there should be 3 states: +1 for scorer, -1 for who will miss, 0 for the other player. @@dnl_blkv not a good idea. like one player played a good shot by all means, 2nd player missed and the 3rd player got a point for nothing.

@@tareqshahriar2587 in theory, if you always play good shots against the same player you may end up bringing the other player to the victory as well. If you want to win, you gotta be smart and play strong against both players. Now, for -1/0/1 the problem is that not all the games can be finished. Not something we want in a sport game. If we go the three-state way, that would be 0/1/2, opposed to 0/1/1 that I proposed. That is probably better. 0/1/1 is still better than -1/0/1 because it both keeps the game finishable and gives right incentives to the players (to not suck :)).
