I'm less than an hour in and I have to say I am so in love with the blossoming romance between Serenoa and Frederica. Most betrothals are usually one sided with the husband making all the decisions but Serenoa from the get go, actually genuinely cares for his bride and doesn't really care that she's a rosellan. When Square Enix does love stories, they do them right.

I am super excited for this game. A return to the nostalgia of a FF Tactics style game is something I have always wanted and this one looks great!

Reminds me of FF Revenant Wings

I can't get enough of tactical turn based games. This is my most anticipated game this year. This has early Square Enix DNA all over. I really liked the demo.

I know breath of the wild sequel is scheduled for this year, along with many more games, but this one is the one I have the most interest in at the moment.

For me #1.elden ring, #2 Triangle Strategy

for not being much into turn based strategy games much. Each time i see updates on this game it always catches my interest on giving it a go. I'm hyped for it.

Cannot WAIT until this game. Releases on my birthday so it'll be a day 1 buy.

I hope its better story wise.. I enjoyed octopath, but the disjointed story was a little disappointing.

I need you all to understand how here for this game I am. Too much time into tactics ogre and final fantasy tactics, and the dub is already sounding better than it was in the demo!

I seriously can't wait to play the full version of this, I loved the demo and just know I'm gonna love the full game

Pixel art, realistic clay environment, medieval fantasy, and Fire Emblem gameplay? im definetely buying the game

Heh, they played Until That Day this early and I didn’t even realize how amazing it was yet.

I love these these types of games. Reminds me of the older days. Also, the art is faithful to that of Octopath, which is just awesome.

The music for this game is soooo good. When I was playing the demo, I couldn't help but stop and listen.

Still wish they would of put portraits on characters text

I hope this can live up to Tactics Ogre and FF Tactics. Looks lovely and sounds great so far.

FIGHT IT OUT!

This game is a warm welcome for all of us strategy rpg fans. Hope it performs very well sales wise so we can get more of these type of games in this art style.

I am so hype for this, you have no idea. When this comes out, I'm basically gonna go MIA for about 2 weeks, whilst fighting proudly for House Wolffort.

Can’t wait to play this game from the trailers and reviews this game looks amazing, it reminds me of one of the storyline in Soulcalibur VI with the decisions you make affect the story. Adding to that I am really looking forward to playing this mainly because I got the Tactician’s Limited edition for my Nintendo switch! So I can expect a lot more.

I never finished octopath traveler (idk why; I loved it) but I can't wait for this. Also the name is fine XD

Hah yeah, I thought the same… woof. I’m gonna be hearing “Assfrost” the whole time. And “Gustadoplh”, sounds like they tried way too hard to get impressive lofty sounding names in there. I’ll get over it but wow!

The trailers are so far apart I keep forgetting what was shown in the previous lmao. In any case, I think this game looks very promising. I’ve finally started Octopath Traveler recently and that game is truly terrific. This seems like the spiritual successor to that game, with everything that makes Octopath great, but with several improvements. Definitely looks like something I’d buy!

No to mention you can do a new playtrough and make diff choices and see how that affect the game and maybe even playstyle. I mean considering that some characters will leave or join depending on your decissions.

Anything even slightly capturing the zeitgeist of Octopath will be an instant buy for me. This game looks so fun.

@@stripedrajang3571 Its not that uncommon of a word. It’s a German word translating literally to “time ghost” but it generally means “vibe” or “general feel” or a certain time or thing. So you can say “this game captures the zeitgeist of this other game” or you could say “this game captures a similar essence or vibe that this game had.” It means the same thing.

The only thing that bugged me in the demo was that you had to go through several loading screens to learn more about the little story sequences, hope they’ll fix a way around that

Believe they said they significantly reduced the length of the loading screens, and made it so there were fewer transitions to the map between story sequences.

Yeah, every little story sequence led you back to the world map which was meaningless and a waste of time, specially with the long loading times.

A huge fan of Octopath Traveler since I played the demo on the eshop, I wasn't sure how to feel about this game, I feared it would be too "Fire Emblem" like. But this trailer definitely sold it to me

It'll be the big JRPG of 2022, that's for sure. But overall including Western RPGs, it won't be the big one. That'll probably be Starfield or perhaps Elden Ring. Maybe even Horizon Forbidden West.

This game looks extremely exciting and beautiful. Only complaint is that the title is utterly abysmal tho and will honestly cost Square Enix money because unless you are in the know, I dont think people will buy a game called Triangle Strategy. Its just an oddity.

You’re probably right, but there’s a chance it works. I know personally I was intrigued by the title, it’s vague and makes me wonder what the games about, it will probably get people to at least check out a trailer which will then probably convince them to try the demo if they like what they see. Also for what it’s worth the title did make me think of war tactics or combat even before I knew the basic premise.

I literally just commented the same thing lmao. A lot of people probably won't be able to get past a name like "Triangle Strategy." Makes me wonder how Octopath Traveler sold, even though that name isn't nearly as bad as this one.
