Triangle Proportionality Theorem, Side Splitter Theorem & Angle Bisector Theorem - Geometry
This geometry video tutorial provides a basic introduction into triangle proportionality theorems such as the side splitter theorem and the triangle angle bisector theorem. It explains how to set up a proportion to find the missing sides of a triangle and to solve for x and y. It also explains how to calculate the distance between parallel lines that are cut by two transversals using proportions. This geometry video tutorial contains plenty of examples and practice problems.

Never stop, I apreciate you!
You are absolutely the best! You make the work much more easier to understand and I hope you never stop helping others with their math and science problems
I didn't understand EVERY thing in this video (ie, last 2 minutes, I got a bit lost), but I learned so much useful stuff overall, including those generally useful (and sometimes indeed VITAL) maths techniques that OCT reminds us of and gives us practice on now and again, for which I am so grateful.
You're the best man. You organize data systematically... And the explanations are clear... Keep it up man All the way from Zambia..👌🏼👍👍👏
MR. Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you for another fantastic video/lecture on the Triangle Proportionality Theorem, Side Splitter and Angle Bisector Theorems in Plane/Solid Geometry. I found this topic a bit challenging, so I will continue to review this subject matter for a deep understanding.
Thank you so much. I am learning new things everyday with you!
Thanks alot man ! I appreciate your hard work !
you taught me more in 23 minutes than i did 2 months, thanks chemistry tutor
Helped a lot. Thanks
This theorem's proof is too beautiful. You should make a video about it!

Just do the top bottom method 8 over 12 =6 over x then cross multiply 8x= 72 then divided by 8 on both sides giving you 9

The side splitter theorem is the converse of the triangle proportionality theorem. Would it have been more accurate to have written Triangle Proportionality Theorem up top when explaining that problem?
Thales Theorem - paralles lines divide triangle sides proportionally. You can't use size-split theorem for parallel lines. Angle bisector theorem - if a ray bisects the angle, the opposite side is proportional to its adjacent sides
Thx I really needed this and it really helped
please start making tutorial videos for college students i pass my GCE with A s thanks to you but i need you again

8:44, if you only know that CB=12, EC and DB are equal, and that AE=16, how do you find AC?

for the 2nd to last problem i have an easier way to calc it. Set 8/x = 26(total of left side)/65(total of right side) = 26x=520 =520/26=DF=20 :)
