I show you how to do it, what to look for and exactly what I do for this crazy good technique. Great cook. I love tritip but have yet to smoke it brisket style. Might be my next cook.

CMC says it's the best way to have tri tip. Let me know what you think once you try it.
tri tip is a steak cut and should be treated as such. you should be banished from cooking a tri tip ever again for abusing it like this.

I'll gladly accept your judgement and opinion, however you might ask your Butcher if you're statement is true. Either way it's a great cut and more versatile that most people think.
