Trey Anastasio relates the story of his first Grateful Dead concert, which was on 10/14/83 in Hartford, CT. Quoting Trey, "I felt like I got hit in the head with a baseball bat". Bob Weir responds with his take on it, and that the GD made an archival release from that show ( Dick's Picks Volume 6)

I saw them in 1983 at Madison Square Garden in NY. It was my first Dead show. I was a junior in high school.
I was in Hartford that night, but didn't go to the show. I had never seen them at that point. They revived St Stephen that night, and when the Deadheads came out they were all going crazy that they had played it. I was like "Don't they always?" 😅

This kinda illustrated the difference between the Dead and Phish. Trey gives an interesting and complimentary story while laughing and sorta joking, and Bobby gives a trippy introspective response. Cool vid though
