    This is a message of wisdom for todays people and political climate. God bless you Trey Gowdy, I wish we had more public servants of your caliber and with the strength of faith in Christ in Canada. Christianity is hard, but there is NOTHING more worth having than faith in and a personal relationship with Christ. It is more important today and at any other time in history that we stand up for our Christianity and walk the walk and talk the talk. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life, no one may come to the Father but by Me".

    I thought I had respect for Mr. Gowdy before.......it is so encouraging to know that there are GOD Fearing men in politics at the level Mr. Gowdy is at. Praise the LORD that HE Gives HIS HOLY SPIRIT to Dwell in those who Believe, so that we may by HIS Strength live the Christian Life. As Paul says in Galatians 2:20---"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ Lives in me: and the Life which i now Live in the flesh I Live by the Faith of the Son of GOD, Who Loves me, and Gave Himself for me." There are not too many men that i would be honoured to shake the hand of, and perhaps have a coffee with....Mr. Gowdy has always been at the top of list, ever since i discovered him during the Bengazi Hearings. I discerned then that this man could quite well be a Believer....and I am so glad to know that this the case. And to think he is not the only one. Were that we here in Canada had similar men and women of True Principles in our Parliament. Our leadership needs prayers, too. May both of our countries be blessed with stalwarts of virtue in the political arena such as Mr. Gowdy. Peace, and God Bless America...and Canada. We need it. Isn't it wonderful when politicians work, as for the King of Kings instead of an agenda?

    cosmicdogg ....yes, I too, would be honored to shake this man's hand. I too discovered him during the Benghazi hearings. They blasted him for not putting HRC in jail...but that was not his job. To my way of thinking , he and the others that questioned her did something better! They opened her up so that whoever watched could see just what a piss-poor protoplasm she is. I watched as he questioned Peter Strzok and if you looked closely, his head was resting on his hand , and he was so infuriated while questioning that nutjob that his hand was trembling. Trey had to wake up. He had such faith in the FBI and the intel people, it broke his heart to see they were not only not what he thought they were, but, they were liars and criminals who had tried to do our country in. Anyway, I digress. If you have not seen Trey Gowdy dance with a partner, it is on you tube. He is fleet on his feet.Trey, if you read these comments, know this: I am 64 , a widow, a cynic who thought there were NO good politicians,a Christian, a feminist for years, a mother of five...you gave me hope for America!! I will miss you!!!

  • @cosmicdogg

    @cosmicdogg

    What!!! Trey Gowdy dances!!! Nice. I will look that up. You are right about how angry he was while questioning that serpentine strzok.......I was surprised, yet not. It can be said that Mr. Gowdy was living by our Faith in that moment, seeing his restraint, composure, when all instincts were surely screaming at him to scream at strzok. My only concern? Will those who come after him have even a tenth of his integrity. They will if they know and walk with CHRIST daily, denying self(pride, entitlement, ego, etc.) May GOD Bless him and his family.

I saw a 10 year old boy in the store and he looked just like Trey Gowdy but younger it look like he was shopping with maybe Mom or Grandma but they weren't walking side-by-side kind of drifted you know drifted apart a little bit, so I turned the boy and I looked at him with enthusiasm and said oh my God you look like Trey Gowdy do you know who Trey Gowdy is? He said in Congress he's a chairman in Congress... When you go home you got to look up on KZread and put Trey Gowdy in he's a very honorable smart honest man! the boy seemed very interested in what I was saying and said okay he will look up Trey Gowdy. I think about that young boy and I pray for him and wish him the best. If it was my choice I would teach all the junior high students about Congress..it really would be a beautiful thing by the time they got into high school already knowing about the laws, the facts, and knowing that Congress is for the people. Do you know any people don't even realize that.

    5 жыл бұрын

    The ugly truth about Trump is that he is far less corrupt and far more honest than either his previous opponent or his predecessor. Less prejudiced and less blind to the truths of the world as it exists. Less evil than the hordes who, in worship of "progressivism," call those who don't believe their lies prejudiced and intolerant. Who are bound and determined to march this nation towards Socialism by any means necessary, even the importation of citizens of other countries, whose votes they buy with other people's money, to add to the group of citizens in this country whose votes they can buy with other people's money. Socialism, you should note, is completely incompatible with the Constitution of this nation and only slightly less despotic and repressive than an outright dictatorship. So, Trump ain't the ideal, but he's a damn sight better than all that. That's the ugly truth period.

    +Fred Freddy - Exactly how Trey just got through saying how NOT to go about a discussion about politics. Glad to see you listened and actually cared about a word he had to say. Your hatred of the President runs SO deep that your attention span lasted 30 seconds once Mr. Gowdy finished. The "views of Trump supporters" in this country are NO LESS worthy than the views of any other American. The faster you learn that, the faster the division you continue to fester in this country MAY heal. Always insistent that YOU are right, however, it isn't likely. Jesus will be back here for His own, and you'll STILL be as full of hate as you are now. You've obviously done NO research on those topics, and as far as any "ugly truth", what would you know? When have you ever met him? When have you been with the President and witnessed any of the propaganda that the MSM feeds you on a daily basis? Answer: *never!* You don't even KNOW the man, yet your gossip and your hatred have hardened your heart to the point where unless you seek Christ, you're throwing away your eternity. If you think it's *worth it*........

    This is VERY powerful. US Representative Gowdy nailed it again! True followers of Christ (Christians) are grounded in that worldview, so any political affiliation is a distend second to their relationship with Christ and obedience to their Creators. We need to stop looking to government to change the world and recognized that work is for us to do inside our own homes and hearts through the power of Jesus our Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer, and Friend. "Jesus looked at them and said, 'With man this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible.'" Matthew 19:26

    To the people who posted negative responses to this clip, me thinks you completely missed the intent of his message. There is nothing controversial about the man or his message in this clip. You may not understand what he said, or wish to embrace it, but should acknowledge it as the path forward to bring civility back to the nation.

    We have to stop trying to force people to believe as we believe. Live as we live. We must stop and listen. A wise man bridles his tongue. We must listen. Love God with all our heart, mind, and soul. This is the first commandment. The second is even harder. Love your neighbor as yourself.

    this is one of the best speeches ever and it is humbling and it speaks to my heart. Even as Christians we need to start loving each other we need to get ready because Jesus is coming for His bride not a bunch of back biting gossiping arguing, name calling people who claim they are Christians we need to get out of the dead churches and start listening to what the spirit is saying to us. Trey Gowdy is an awesome man of God.

    My friend and I of 43 years have different views 20% of the time on many issues, but we never fall out over them. I accept her views and she mine when they differ, we like the fact that we can debate our points of view which often leads to she or I seeing something from a different angle. One thing we ALWAYS do and that is to look at everything from every angle possible if we're not sure about something and we often come up with the most common sense of a solution... She is not my only friend, but she is the ONLY ONE to understand me and I her. Family and friends don't always see eye to eye but I always remember the following: Yesterday is a memory Tomorrow is a mystery But, TODAY is PRECIOUS So we make the most of our friendship that we have, we laugh together (a lot), we cry together and we are there for each other when needed. As long as this continues, I'm sure our 43 year friendship will carry on as it is, until the man upstairs calls for us! Have a blessed day all...

    TRANSCRIPT, AS I HEARD IT PART THREE Trey Gowdy Speaking at Second Baptist Woodway August 12, 2018 . I knew that Tim and I had a different relationship when I heard the story about his grandfather. But that would not be the night that he would tell you he knew something was different. That was one of the most tragic nights in history of our country. . There were believers gathered at a church called Mother Emanuel in Charleston. The church where Tim's uncle attended for more than 50 years. A church where his friend and former colleague, Clemente Pinckney, was the pastor. It's an African American church. And they were meeting during the week doing exactly what God told them to do - study the word, seek My face, and if a stranger comes in, welcome the stranger. And the stranger came in. A stranger came in that had driven more than a hundred miles from Lexington, South Carolina, passing mile marker after mile marker after mile marker, knowing full well what he was about to do. So, they welcomed him. They prayed with him. They prayed for him. And then, he killed 9 of our fellow believers because they happened to be black. And he wanted to start a race war in a state with a very provocative history when it comes to race, in a city where the Civil War began. And what those family members did, in the hours after that shooting, to the person - they looked him in the eye when he was arraigned and said, “We forgive you. We forgive you.” . And then, Tim had to give a speech on the floor of the Senate. So, we call the family members and said, “What would you like me to communicate to the country”. And the answer was, “God is in control. And even out of something like this, something positive will come.” . When I say Christianity is hard, I could not do what they did. I would not do what they did. I could not and I would not. But they did, because their faith was the most important thing in their lives. . So what is your identity. Spiritual identities, and political identity, a geographic identity. I think, if we are going to have the community, state - I'll speak for mine and not yours - I'm more familiar with South Carolina - The country that we want to have, it will not come from a political platform. It will not come from a series of political beliefs. It will come from you living out what are very difficult Commandments to live out. And for you to trust the ways of a God that does not do things in a conventional way. That uses the bone from an animal as a weapon. That decided to pick a stutterer as a spokesperson. They used trumpets and lanterns to win a battle. And my personal favorite, my personal favorite, allowed His own Son to lose a voice vote to a guy named Barabbas. . If you're a believer, you serve the ultimate barrier breaker, the ultimate bridge builder, you have a God that does things in unconventional ways. . Unity is biblical. There's a reason there's a verse in the New Testament in Christ. There is no male, no female, no Jew, no Gentile, no rich, no poor, and I'm gonna paraphrase, because I think, if Jesus were here, He would say, “no black, no white, no brown, no Republican, no Independent, no Libertarian, no Democrat”. If He were here, if He were here, I think that is what He would tell us. That He alone is sufficient and in Him there is nothing other than, do you believe, do you not believe. And if you believe, you are called to do some very difficult things. . One more, one more thing that I could not and would not do. And I hope at some point you all have a chance to hear from Senator Tim Scott. Culberson will tell you, “He's the best person I know in public service. There are lots of good ones on both sides. He's the best.” . We were freshmen. Something terrible had been written about him. Not only terrible, can be terrible and true, this was terrible and not true. It was actually defamatory, libelous, actionable. I was tired of it, sick of it. And it's already one thing to be in the world's least popular body. It's another thing to have people piling on with stuff that's not true. So, I got sick of it. I had that article in my hand. This is before I got the memo about not sharing all negative articles with your friends. I have since gotten that memo and would like to send it to some of my friends. But, this is before I knew, I don't have to go tell him every bad thing I’ve read. . I march into his office, right past his receptionist. And I said, “Tim, I'm sick of this, sick of it. I'm . do something about it.” He said, “Well, let me see it.” Showed it to him. He said, “Come on in. We're gonna do something about that”. I said, “Good, got a United States Congressman, got a former prosecutor, and we got a closed door. We're gonna finally get some place”. He said, “Sit with me.” “Okay.” “We're gonna pray for him.” I said “Tim, I'm not, I'm not.” And I didn't. But he asked me to sit with him while he did. . Christianity is hard. There are very few other facets of life where you would be called to pray for someone who just did that. It's hard. . If you want to change even your own family, something as small, but important as that. Or you want to change something as large and important as your country. . Politics hasn't worked. . Sports won't work. . Geography won't work. . Living an authentic, consistent life reflective of the teachings of Christ is what will work. . God bless you. . Thank you for letting me be with you. END OF TRANSCRIPT . .

That our next president be like Mr. Trey Howdy. As a fellow sinner, I am truly humbled by this man, who also serve' s Christ. I hope and pray that our country would finally elect a man or woman such as he. God bless and keep you and your family safe. Trey Gowdy is always an inspiring speaker. The Baptist church in Tex’s was lucky to have him there, we lost a great man when he left government. He sat and did battle with the Democrats, who refused to come to the table and just talk. The Democrats refused to even recognize when the committee was investigating, to even cooperate. I can understand his frustration of waiting for our country to come together, very sad to see him go. Wish him well in South Carolina, so sad, such a great loss to America.
