Trevor Noah on Representation | LAT Talks by Expensify

Ойын-сауық

In this debut episode, Expensify’s Joanie Wang and Puneet Lath interview Trevor Noah, award-winning host of The Daily Show. With his comically insightful point of view, Trevor discusses representation, cancel culture, and what it means to be "self made".
LONG ASS TABLE TALKS - LAT Talks for short - is an interview series featuring people who inspire us with different perspectives. It started out as an internal Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion program, but the eye-opening quality of the conversation made us realize the discussion was worth sharing.
Want to hear more bonus content from the interview? Or perhaps want to facilitate a group discussion on workplace diversity and other topics discussed in this video? Head to expensify.com/lat-talks to hear the full interview on our podcast and to download the accompanying discussion guide!

Trevor has the intellectual ability to tell it as it is. He does not mince his words, he states his opinion and does not expect anybody to agree with him, that is a sure gift. You do not have to be super educated to be like that, but take your experiences and make them understandable to others. He is a master at that which reflects his self-confidence around people, that in itself creates the platform of trust.

His personal views are a lot more nuanced and centrist than he projects on the daily show which presents a very biased and almost deliberately polarizing view of political issues. He has a very interesting perspective and given enough time to articulate his thoughts, he is a very compelling speaker. Great job on the interview.
