Brookville Country Club in Glen Head, NY, is par 71, 6,625 yards, 71.8 rating, and a slope of 133. For comparison, The Ocean course is par 72, 7,356 yards, 79.6 rating, and a slope of 155.

Short game is the key! Keep practice on ur putting, that's gonna help in the long run. Go Trent! Couple things I want to talk about ur game, break 100 isn't that hard, think u can do it with just 3 clubs. 1. I'd like u to work on ur putting really hard when u off the course, putt on ur carpet 1 hr a day, u gonna have so much confidence when u stand over that putt after about a month. 2. Work on ur chip around the green, use 9 iron/ P wedge do bump n runs. Use ur lob wedge do pitch n release practice n eventually flop shots. 1 hr a day will do it, n u will see progress in a month. 3. 100 yards shot. Find ur 100 yards club n master it, that will help u lay up to that number n hit it relatively close to the pin. 4. Course management. Remember u ain't gonna do well the first round u ever step onto a golf course without knowing the layouts n how the green reacts. Play a round for practice n take notes, I guarantee ur next round will b better than ur first round. 5. Swing. Start slow, especially on the back swing, no need to rush it n get ur pasture out of position n everything falls apart. There r plenty swing lessons on KZread can help u with that. N also know ur setups. There r 2 type of setups u have to figure out, driver n irons. As long as u set up the right way n trust ur swing, u gonna see a lot good shots coming ur way. N the most important thing is, don't try to kill every shots!!!! 6. Play ur ability tees. For a beginner, u don't need to play with big boys at the back, it's much easier just play the forward tees(white). Just get ur game going for now, once u got it all figured out then move to the big boy tees.

"Ok, I can't be talking about score, you just need to play and have fun and we'll worry about that later" ...30 seconds later "Ok, so if you make this one you'll be at 52 on the front and you need exactly a 47 on the back".

I'm a high handicapper and I've completely changed my mentality this year and it's had an incredible impact. I used to be so bent up about getting pars and i'd get in my head. Esp. if i missed a par put I'd be so mad that I got a bogey. Bogey golf is DAMN good when you've never broke 100. Bogey golf is 89-90. By changing my mindset I've gotten more pars than ever and it's improved my game all around so much. You got this shit

I'm glad he acknowledged it himself during the video, because when he said it in episode 1 I almost let out an audible "Huhh?", luckily it's pretty easy to go from being a very bad putter to at least average, but he just needs to realize that he's gonna have to change that weird stroke he has most likely.

A couple of comments, loving this series I think everyone is behind Trent in becoming a better player. 1. I'm not sure the length of the course they played but with a 240 yard par 3 and 600 yard par 5 he's playing off the wrong tees. Not playing off the tips isn't cheating especially when you're a high 20's handicapper in fact you absolutely shouldn't be playing off those tees at that handicap. Trent should be making the course around 6500 yards play off whatever tees accomplish that and even mix up the tees depending on the hole. A 240 yard par 3 is a joke for a 20 odd handicapper. 2. Trent has to focus on his putting, it's the lowest of the low hanging fruit. I lost count of the 3 and 4 putts in this video but it was almost every hole. Turn those into 2 putts and the odd 3 putt and you can save probably 15-20 shots quite easily. Focus on distance control as JP told you keep working on that pace drill and get the ball close to the hole for stress free 2 putts.

Trent - Couple things from a recent break 100 man and working on breaking 90. Putting, putting, putting. You gotta eliminate 3 putts. Have JT give you two drills. One for start line. One for speed control and keep working on green reading and practice lag putting and two putts. For the full swing: You gotta realize when your pulling the ball (alot of your shots went left) and figure out how to swing a little more to the right. Small swing adjustments on the course are super important. The last thing is you should play a normal municipal course from the white tees. Playing super hard, long courses from the blue or black tees is absurd.
