Just watched Trent's talk from the Philippines. I've been watching the past Steubenville Conferences for over a year now and they were very instrumental in my transformation as a revert Catholic.

Welcome home. I reverted as well. I had strayed away in my teens, then in 2016 when I was 32,. I finally made my Confirmation. Better late than never, it was the best decision I ever made. For 8 months I attended RCIA to clear up some of the many misunderstandings I had, I learned so so much. I found out that as a child, I was very poorly catechized. I also came to realize that most of my grandparents who all attended Catholic school, were also poorly catechized. This trickled down to my parents and onto my generation. Very unfortunate. I have one Grandmother living and all she knows is that she has to attend mass and go to confession. She can't defend her faith, she can't explain it. She even tried arguing with me once that Martin Luther and the Lutheran church came first. This is common among those in her circle. This is so unbelievably sad. All of my cousins, aunts, uncles and my parents even fell away from the church. All due to being poorly catechized. All I can do now is pray for them. So when I say "Welcome Home". I truly mean it. ❤️

Wow.... 43:05 through 43:20. "So why is the devil impersonating Mary to get people to join a church where, during our baptismal vows, we promise to reject the devil and all of his empty promises? It does not make sense." That was actually a rather profound and logical argument and question that I've never thought of nor heard before. Thank you for that, Trent. That, and I've read some of the accounts of the apparitions where Mary is speaking, and she so often points to and defends her Son, and especially regarding worship and devotion to him, and his teachings. It's like, if she was a minion of Satan, or an impersonation that he was using, why would said apparition tell people to follow and to worship Christ, or defend and uphold Christ?

7:12 In the novel "Barchester Towers," an Anglican cleric (one of the good guys!) is troubled for a while with J.H. Newman's conversion to Catholicism, but decides not to follow him. He explains his decision to remain Anglican by saying, in effect, "We're fallible people who can't know these things on earth, so it's not worth worrying about." Atheism (at least the complacent, silent-despair British kind) is just what happens when somebody makes this attitude general (towards all religious claims) instead of particular (towards Catholic claims only).

Jesus established “one” Church. P’s will never accept the truth even though it’s easily proven biblically Matthew 16:18-19, 18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the powers of death shall not prevail against it.19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” P’s would rather tell us we’re wrong about everything so there is no common ground. Unfortunately based on the uneducated comments from “p’s” here or on other peaceful Catholic podcasts they are consumed in their sins and spew nothing but calumny and detraction at Catholic Christians and Christs Church. There is no rational thought in them. Pray for them. Excellent video Trent Horn. Thank you.

It was at Antioch that the believers were first called Christians." Did you see the word "Catholics" in that verse? No, you didn't. So, a Christian is a person who believes in the teachings of Jesus.
