As a substitute teacher, it’s not always our fault. Some people are lazy or checked out, but even when you give it your all, it’s exhausting and difficult. Each day I get to class and hurriedly read whatever notes they left me, which can be anything from a sentence to a full page. Often, I sub for multiple people during the day, and I have to run from the High School science lab to the kindergarten, praying I have time to read the note sheet. Sometimes the kids are nice & the teacher leaves good notes, other times I can’t find the worksheets or the kids treat me like a verbal (and once, physical) punching bag. I’ve gone home crying more than once-I’m never teaching gym again. Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest. It’s a really underappreciated job,

Also, thank you for finally articulating one of the reasons I love this franchise. The characters are all SMART. Now, okay, none of them are geniuses. . . Rhonda is the smartest and most educated in the first film, but even she's really only knowledgeable in her area of expertise, which is NOT biology (I love how she retorts "WHY do you keep asking me?" when the people turn to her one to many times to provide exposition she just doesn't have). But they all think through their actions and, as you said, come up with plans that actually make sense and work. It makes the Graboids et al so much more convincing when they can be smart, too, to keep trying to get at the heroes.

I understand many are sad that James is unable to host kill counts for a while, but if they had to find a temporary replacement, they could'nt have chosen better than Zoran. He absolutely nailed this kill count and he's going to do the same for the other six films.

I love how you can see the building of Zoran's confidence throughout the video. He starts off as a 2018 monotone james, and gradually builds into 2019 james. He does an amazing job, much props to the crew for being able to adapt really comfortably, shows how much of a family Dead Meat is.

These movies mean a lot to me because I went through my teens watching these with my dad. I'm almost twenty now and every time I see one of the Tremors movies my dad immedietly comes to mind. I don't have a lot of happy memories with him, he was in rehab for most of my childhood, and when he eventually came home when I turned 11 or 12, he was usually locked away in his room due to a work-related back injury rendering him always in pain. I don't get to do a lot with him, and watching movies is really the only thing we've ever done together. These movies along with Harry Potter, DC and Marvel movies are some of my favorites because we used to sit for like, as long as his back could take it binging them. It's our father-daughter memories, and even if I don't see him much anymore since my parents split up and he moved an hour away, I still have the fond memories of us laughing and making stupid shitty jokes.

That is super sweet I love that that reminds me of my mom and I when I was also 11,12 or 13 years old my mom and I would like to watch scary movies like saw, scream and Friday the 13th I don’t think their my favorite movies but I have such fond memories of watching all of them with my mom sometimes in theaters or sometimes at home but it was something we always made time for

Zoran is actually kind of insane at this whole Dead Meat thing. Wouldn't mind seeing more of him occasionally even after the break!

Fred played in a ton of movies. I didn't like them all but some of my all time favorites had Fred in them. Tremors being one of them! Him and Kevin Bacon were hilarious in that along with the rest of the cast! Makes me sad knowing he's gone. RIP Fred.

Has anyone else heard this Footloose/Tremors theory… The town from Footloose is the same town from Tremors. The ban on dancing wasn't a puritanical attempt to control the youth. The town elders were aware of the graboid threat, and banned dancing out of the fear that it would cause rhythmic vibrations waking up the creatures sleeping below the town. Kevin Bacon's character in Footloose stayed in the town, growing up to be his character in Tremors, at which point he has to try and contain the danger he inadvertently released.

The fact that Zoran said: "I'm not James A Janisse" made the transition for me so much easier. Just something with the flow of that intro that would have felt off for me had I not heard the "James A Janisse". Zoran did a great job and hopefully this will allow James and Chelsea to take more vacations in the future!!

When I first saw this movie as a kid, I was affraid that there are worms that travel trough the ground and eat you before you even know it. But now, I'm not that scared of it anymore

I won't lie, I was VERY confused when that came up. This whole episode was awesome, and I think we're in very good hands. He's genuinely hilarious (the "spay and neuter your pets" really caught me off guard too).

I truly have a feeling that James is testing the waters with fan acceptance to make a permanent switch in the next couple years, especially if the film James is producing takes off.

I would love to see James and Zoran do a Kill Count Episode together, but god Zoran did a good job with this Kill Count, can't wait for the rest!!

Yeah, although some of the jokes fall a bit flat because the delivery feels more scripted. The thing is, that’s the same issue James had when he first started, and I’m sure as Zoran keeps going his comfortability and delivery will improve!

I specially love the "Dead by Daylight" game reference. Many horror movie lovers actually play horror games but it's just not referenced enough. Amazing first day

But as I mentioned Zoran does an amazing job that's the right level of different than James's style, while being himself and still remaining true to the KC forumla we all know and love.

@@workingstiff0586 Spot on man. Wouldn't have made sense if Zoran was just trying to be James, he's got his own personality and it needed to show, and it does. It seems the responce to Zoran has been massively positive, which is nothing but a good thing no matter which way you look at it. Hopefully it gives James that bit of confidence that he doesn't need to keep making sure people are enjoying the KCs with him, cause they are as entertaining as ever.

I always love that they make the main cast actually intelligent in terms of planning, and they usually work out until the monster starts doing things they didn't expect them to do.

RIP Fred Ward, died this month I think. KB put out a very nice tribute to him and said they had an absolute blast on this film.

Zoran KILLED any sense of nervousness I had about james being gone. He’s doing an amazing job, by the time james takes back over I have a feeling I’m gonna miss him.

Honestly this new guy is pretty good. He makes up for James's absence with his own humor and that is good enough for me.

I just found out Fred Ward passed away.

Oh wow, the tremors fan base has just found out of the recent passing of Fred ward. Michael gross and so many others are writing their feelings on his life and impact on them. Like damn, that really came out of nowhere. Thank you for giving us the role of earl, and so many others. You will be missed, Fred 😔

I agree Lance Shivers. I was not very much not excited for someone to be replacing James. Especially since I was not a fan of "They Talk". But this Kill Count was great. A few times, I had to pause it because I was laughing so hard. Zoran, you did a good job sir.

Zoren was great in these kill counts! I'm looking forward to his next few kill counts in April and May of 2023.

Zoran you're filling James's shoes AMAZINGLY, the only thing different is the voice, which is still charming and entertaining, I love that you still kept the pace James had and the core skeleton of the script. Can't wait to see more from you.

Fr, the only thing that could be improved is the way he says some of his jokes, since they feel a bit more scripted compared to James’ delivery, but that will come with practice, and I’m sure it will be great by the time he is finished with Tremors.

I was just about to comment the same thing, I of course was slightly bummed James was taking a break, but he 100% deserves it and Zoran is the perfect fit to fill in, it’s like a reboot done right, respects the source and does a fantastic job with it; but really Zoran made it his own episode this is one of the most organic transition of hosts I’ve seen on any platform or form of media

Zoran I just got the entire tremors series on dvd for Christmas cause my sister knew I loved your kill counts my favorite gift this year

Nothin to say that other people haven’t said better. Zoran did an awesome job! Loved it. If James needs any more vacations in the future I hope he has ya come back for a guest Kill Count from time to time!

Not gonna lie, that pants joke and subsequent James cameo at 16:11 is one of my favorite jokes ever on this channel. That was perfection (pun intended)

Zoran, you're great, and it's a relief to see the community agree! The perfect amount of wit, energy, and trivia in every Kill Count. I'd loved Tremors as a kid so finding this on the channel was a huge treat.

Zoran's energy does such great justice to this movie. His love of this film is palpable and it radiates throughout the vid.
