22 years ago... Oh how I remember walking into Aguas Calientes. The images of this little village brings back such great memories for me. It brings tears to my eyes. I wish my wife was still with us to see these images of your adventure.

Totally stunning environment--despite the rain and mud! That looked like quite the wet slog. So excited for the next day!

But I have to say, even though that muddy descent was kind of awful, it was also kind of... fun? In the sense that we were all in it together and hiking in the Andes and the next day we'd be at Machu Picchu, so it was all kind of incredible!

I still can't believe how luxurious that hotel felt after only a few days of trekking! But wow, the shower was so nice :)
