Where's the explosion????

That was nothing compared to the big dead fall cedar trees we fell back in the eighties. 6ft or more at the base and hundreds of feet tall. When the whole tree out in the woods was cut and notched at the base, when it fell and hit the ground your whole body and the ground movement was a huge adrenaline rush

This is laughable. Where to start? No hard hat. No 5 point harness. No glasses. That notch is way to small for that diameter. He planted the tip into the ground. Just awful all around.

Tree service employee not wearing a hard hat or protective gear. Not smart

Who can afford a hard hat? Personal safety is overrated….or not. Several things wiring with this scenario. He’s lucky nothing was damaged.

"Woodpecker damage" can you explain, I got a ton of them taking interest in 2 trees … and occasionally my metal antenna (that cured by mini scarecrow).

I don't know the whole background. The tree is at our local park. From my understanding they had some sort of infestation that made the woodpeckers more interested in them.
