​@@FannomacritaireSuomi it sounds repetitive because it is foreign and you can easily pick it out: as someone who listens to a lot of foreign music, I hear a lot of repartition that seems really in the face. I started paying close attention to some of the English songs I paid close attention to & lo-and-behold, it was really repetitive when I thought about it

I really like the concept and the beat but the vocals were lacking. They were not in sync with each other. But I really like the song regardless but if the vocals were better, it could have qualified.

Maybe the grammar distinguishes what it means. For example, gugu ne = My car ne gugu = Chasing people Stuff like that.

You well described my main problem with these songs. I'd like to hear a good song in a constructed language, but Netherlands 2006 and Belgium 2008 are examples of how not to do it. They are so repetitive and boring. The exaggerated enthusiasm makes no impact, since the lyrics have no meaning and actual translation. It's just a lazy excuse of spurting random sounds. Call me unimpressed.

@@JustJack66 That's a good question. Belgium 2003 is the rare example of a song in a constructed language that works well. It has a beautiful instrumental and isn't as repetitive. It's also not presented in a childish manner, like most other. That said, I would prefer if it had an actual meaning behind it. It still is my favorite instrumental composition of 2003, but only my 4th placed song due to the lack of context.

This was not good enough and not commercial. Although, the sounds and vocals are not bad, but the songfestival wants something else i think. The moment of 1.02 is a bit too much.

Shawsters ™ For me the song of ''The Common Linnets'' was very boring and I dont like it, Rise Like a Phoenix was a good song for me, the beginning beautiful and the strong part epic, stop with the criticism of all the winner songs, that songs won and they won because Europe choose them. The haters always criticizes the winners songs because they favourite song didn´t won, all of us have diferent likes. (Sorry if I say some word bad, I´m from Spain)
