Sorry yo hear about your dad, hope he heals fast ! Resist the phosphorus application- short term gain vs long term stability. Good luck.

Sent a prayer up for Mr. Young. Going to try some extract on cotton strip tilled into expired CRP this spring. I might document how that goes, everyone around here either rips or disks their CRP. Seems like a waste of 40 years of compaction breaking and ground cover to me.

Hi Jay. Thanks for another great video. Wondering how you store your finished compost - do you stop watering it, pull out the worms etc. 😎

I keep the worms in it and I keep it moist. Lightly water the tops

@@Bennie32831 You asked about storing finished compost. What do you think a rich soil does? But if you are talking about the made up extract it's only made as needed. No worms in the extract.

Hi Jay. If you use the loading auger to your planter as the applicator it might work better. 1. Calculate the max delivery rate of the Auger to the planter per minute. compost

2 Calculate the rate of compost extract needed per minute. 3. Calibrate a liquid fertilizer squeeze pump to deliver that rate. 4. place applicator near hopper of Auger so to monitor application. Just a suggestion. Thanks for the videos!

Great video. Hope your dad is doing better I reached out to regen ag lab about their TND. Asking specifically about TND below the recommended depths and they responded with there are nutrients below 6-8". I've been contemplating testing below a foot, possibly 2-4 feet. Taking plugs, removing them, and taking plugs from deeper depths - 2 to 4 feet - and send those in. If you wouldn't mind me asking, when you did your TND, was the 1200 lbs of phos from only 6-8 inches? Do you know any nutrient Lbs/A below those depths? If so, how deep and how much? I may do these tests myself. I'm not a farmer :/ So maybe doing these tests for a farmer would be more beneficial. Even testing each layer to see what it adds up to, as this is kinda what matters. Strange that the wheat isn't responding well to the extract. I think that's what you meant

Hey Jay, any chance you could provide a link to Dr. White's research or a way to find it? Your videos are turning me into a total soil/seed science nerd, I love reading that stuff. Much respect from Roundup Mt.
