Warts can be very difficult to treat. Most treatments consist of liquid nitrogen and salicylic acid. These treatments damage the top layer of skin where the wart lives but unfortunately warty tissue is very tough and sometimes the treatment cant damage the warty tissue. These topical treatments normally need multiple sessions weekly and can take months to resolve.
This new treatment technique uses microwave energy to create a ‘heat shock’ that stimulates the patient’s immune system to attack the warty tissue.
Stay tuned for further videos on this patient to see how the treatments turn out!!!

The Toe Bro

I am not a paramedic, but I've had a botched gall bladder removal which put me in the hospital for a month and two back surgeries, including a spinal fusion; all before I turned 40. When you live and breathe old pain for what seems like an eternity, the mind gets crafty fast and learns how to dominate the body when it knows -- when you know -- the new pain has come to kill the old. Super lady, no doubt.

I can sorta comment here about this. My doctor said that people who live with chronic and constant pain (like I do and like she clearly does) ... our threshold becomes a lot higher over time. He's able to put me on a TENS unit at the highest setting. He said I'm the only patient he has ever had who can endure it that high and for me ... it barely even registers. I didn't even know it was high until he brought in several other doctors on the staff and talked about it in front of me and I was replying and talking like nothing at all was happening to me. Two of the doctors actually stopped the machine and restarted it to make sure my doctor wasn't faking it. It blew their mind. But pain becomes nothing when that's all you know. :*( Those doctors call me "The Champ" any time I run into them.

In the 70's I had 23 plantar warts on the padding of my left foot & 17 on the heel of the right. Walking was hurting. I'd never heard of these before. A nurse had me soaking my feet for at least 20 mins each night , pat dry & apply a product, an acid base, brand name Duofilm then secure a gauze square over them till morning. I did this faithfully for just about a week when one night in the bathtub a thick chunk of skin with the warts came out! It looked like 2 big jigsaw puzzle pieces! Very rubbery & translucent but you could see the tiny black spots of the warts. Never came back & I felt no pain with this treatment or the warts coming out. Just thought I'd recount my experience in case someone would benefit from this. The Duofilm can now be bought over the counter.

I'm thankful that when I was a little girl and got a wart on the inside of my thumb, it hurt every time I turned a door knob, my mom took me to an old doctor. He used a syringe/plunger with a stick of dry ice in it and held it on my wart for two minutes. He gave me a nickel for an ice cream cone on the walk home. I went in another week later and he did the same thing a second time since the first time didn't make it go away. This time it stung and I got teary eyed so again he gave me a nickel for an ice cream cone. It's been gone for sixty years now. RIP: Dr. Smith! I remember you very well.

You had the immune system of a healthy kid to help fight it off. With her health and being immunocompromised she didn't have any hope of fighting it off on her own, let alone this big of a wart. What's bad is her "pedicurist" who supposedly told her about it was probably the one who caused it by nicking the bottom of her foot, allowing the virus in from someone else she treats.

@@nonesort9373 I suffered with over 20 plantar warts on my heal throughout HS, college, and up to 27 yo. I had surgery, freezing, burning, and even a series of 10 small pox vaccinations (this was in the late 60's -70's). Then one summer I changed my diet to vegetarian because the guy I fell in love with was a vegetarian. Magically, all of those warts disappeared. There was something missing in my diet, but I never knew what. Fast forward...My child developed 2 plantar warts on her foot. I read that Vit A killed the virus. So for about 2 weeks I soaked her foot, roughed the area with a emery board, and applied Vitamin A which comes in a capsule...you pierce the capsule and I rubbed that on the wart. and applied a bandaid. I repeated this for about 2 weeks and then a dark black spot appeared. I used a tweezer to pull it and it was the dead wart. It was gone and 32 years later she is still wart free. So My suggestion is to look up the effect of Vitamin A applied to plantar warts. I have a medical background, and the science to me was a lot more believable than small pox vaccine (quack).

I'd be picking at that monster night and day...soaking it, looking up DIY remedies, scraping it down. It would be an obsession until I got rid of it! I know that wouldnt be recommended, but I probably couldnt help myself, lol. I hope this lady will finally be free of this awful thing. Nobody deserves to go through all that. Remember to always wear shoes in public areas, especially by public pools and other water-type recreation. Warts are caused by a very contagious virus (HPV) infection to the top outer layer of skin. You can also get exposed to this virus at gyms, especially in the showers or if you're barefoot in the changing area. All it takes is stepping barefoot in the same place someone with a wart recently stood, and you end up with this giant thing on your foot, getting microwaved by Dr. Toe Bro.

I've watched so many people go through uncomfortable treatments on these videos and I thought that I truly understood and felt compassion until I had a heart attack and had to have an angioplasty done. For some reason the freezing didn't take. They went through the artery in my wrist and not to be dramatic but it literally felt like they were cutting my hand off at the wrist. I felt every step of the procedure and the pain got so bad I literally lost control of my body and it started to spasm. The doctor never stopped or took a break and he was holding me down. Finally the nurse asked if I was in pain and I said obviously she gave me 25 mg of Fentanyl and it did absolutely nothing. I still to this day don't know what went wrong but my entire arm went so black from bruising it looked like I had frostbite. Of course I was on blood thinners so I bruise very easily. Anyway my point is I now have a true feeling of empathy and compassion for other people's pain. There was almost a camaraderie and knowing exactly what this wonderful lady was going through and all I could think of is that she has to go through this two more times and the courage it will take her to show up for these treatments. Sweet lady if you happen to read these comments you are in my prayers that your pain will be brief and very effective as well is that horrible wart will leave you and never return.

When I was a senior in high school in 1986, I developed 19 watts on the bottom of one foot and 30 on the other. The pain was unbearable. Went to the podiatrist who said that my only option was to cut out all of the warts and then do a skin graft. He asked what my plans were for the summer and I told him the Outer Banks. He said that I should stay barefoot as much as possible, then made an appointment to see him when I got back. I was religious about his instructions and when I went back to see him, all of the warts had died and were being absorbed by my body. He said that the combination of. the hot sand, hot sidewalks and parking lots coupled with the salt water did the trick. I have never had another wart since. Best medicine I ever took!!!

I’ve had painful treatments due to my nerve damage in my legs (testing for nerve responses in my feet and legs) and being able to feel the electric current in the nerves that are still alive is miserable. probably the second most painful, with my colposcopy in first place.

As someone who has had to dig into the nerve to get warts out of my feet, the scraping down to the pin point bleeding and the treatment she underwent shows that she has an EXTREME pain tolerance, she barely moved at all, I know the feeling of just wanting them gone. The pain is bearable when it's almost to the point of the warts keeping you from walking.

I've had chronic plantars warts on the soles of my feet for a number of years!! I finally decided to have the warts professionally removed with a scalpel. The toughest part was the injections! Having a needle puncture the sensitive skin of the soles of my feet hurt like hell! But, after that, it didn't hurt to have the warts cut out from my soles!

  • @randallsmerna384

If you fail to remove the wart, it will grow to the size of the wound/disturbed skin. If you freeze it and it blisters but doesn't die, the wart will grow to the size of the blister. (Ask me how I know)...

Almost every podiatrist who uploads videos here just forgets about the audience watching it and rarely posts any follow up visits, treatments or Final results. Please keep us in the loop or don’t even post the patient’s initial treatment.

I had this treatment on a mosaic wart on my heel. It was very painful but worth it as after 2 treatments it finally went away like magic after years of trying everything else for it to grow more & more. I had injections when my podiatrist used the swift machine and it still hurt but, like I said. Well worth that. I look forward to seeing part 2.
