Interestingly, I was in a discount hardware store right before the holidays and they had some banisters for less than $5 each. I kept looking thinking, I can use those for something. My oldest daughter was like-Mom, come on, you don't need those (I'm known to purchase items for future projects) but my spirit was telling me I would. My youngest had just gotten engaged a few weeks before(listen to your spirit, it always knows) So I've said a prayer and tomorrow I'll be returning to that store in hopes that they at least have 4 left😊 if I can wait til tomorrow 🤭. Hi, thanks for your view, your compliment and your question! The stripes are just washy tape. It comes in gold, silver and many other colors. I wouldn't use paint on this foam board because it ripples the paper😉

Hi, just one piece of velcro on the top of the wheel connected to the foam board was enough. Have fun with a cute lemonade stand!

Yes, I think you could measure wood to the size table top you need and just attach shorter balisters. The size I made is 24" and fits across my back seat.

Glad it was helpful. I used 2 pieces of foam board from dollar tree and taped them together with clear packing tape. If you add decorations on top it helps hide the seams

Do you think it’ll work if I add spindles to front and back to make its own table? I don’t have a folding table to sit this on top of. My baby’s 1 st birthday is in July and I want to make the cart in advance.

Hi, I think that could work too! Just be sure to use something to lock the spindle legs in place because it won't be very sturdy on it's own.

Hi Sophia, if you want to avoid using a folding table, you could add sturdier legs to the other side of the wood. Just make sure they lock well so it won't collapse.

Hi again! I’m getting closer to having all my supplies for your collapsible cart. I know that you used a 48 in size shelving. Can you please let me know the width of the shelving. I went to Home Depot and saw both the finished and unfinished ones but they had both in 2 different widths. The lengths were 48 inches but I don’t remember hearing you mentioning the width. Hi there! Ideally you want your wood top to be as wide as your table. My table is 20" wide. Home depot will cut it to the size you need for free. Hope this helps

Whatever size table you are using, have your board cut to the same size.

So I tried making this last night and couldn’t get the hooks to fit in with the cup hooks. Tried moving them all different distances from eachother

I had to position my hooks on an angle to get them to hook into each other. Next time I will think of an easier way to lock the barristers in place

What size are the baulisters?

They are the thin ones used for staircases. But you can use the thicker ones if you want. They are all the same length

It just sits on top of the table. The wood is heavy enough that it won't move.

I used a 4ft folding table and got a piece of wood the same size. But you can make your wood fit any size folding table you want.

Sure, I used a 4ft folding table. I bought a piece of MDF board from Home Depot and had it cut to the size of the table top. 4 ballisters, 4 small door hinges and 4 cup hook and loops
