I watched all the way through but had to do it in three (or maybe it was four) sittings. So fun to see your reaction to the best of the best. So many lovely things and I know that you will make many beautiful things with them. Yes, you are a lucky girl, and so is Gunthe--well, lucky boy. He got some really cool envelopes. Miss Margreth, like I have said before, you are a very Lucky Lady. As for the Banana Split show that was just entertainment and goofy entertainment at that. As for the Nana it means short version for grandma in Italian. That is what my grandchildren call me, just like I called my great grandmother when I was a little one (yes we are Italian) LOL. Same here, but it helps to go by this particular definition of “vintage”…”denoting something of high quality, especially something from the past or characteristic of the best period of a person's work” …rather thank just thinking it means”old” or “used” 😂

I am not a jealous person normally but I have to say this brought out a rare side of me. Jealousy. I would love to find a treasure box like that for the price you paid. If I do happen to find something similar it is usually way way more money. Great find. I am so happy for you. I can't wait to see the projects to come up with using these treasures.

I am loving going thru this mystery box with you! We had our family reunion yesterday,Saturday,...one of my cousins brought me 2 large shoe boxes of pictures that were my G.Grandmothers.......I found some awesome pictures in those boxes! Old ....really old pictures which I plan to copy and use in a journal....my heart just burst with joy. My daughter has been working on our family tree and she can't wait to go thru these boxes. I will treasure these photos forever. So I felt your excitement as you were going thru your box! Thanks for sharing with us. P.s. Should you decide to sell some of these glorious items, please give us heads-up....I am definitely interested in buying.

That was an amazing haul the map really stood out for me. I loved seeing the different types of envelopes and postcards just enjoyed. The postcard that you said was a game show I’m pretty sure that was a tv series I don’t know I was born in 80 but I remember slightly seeing it once

It seems that the Italian postcard is from 1920. I could see the date in the middle of the card just below the dividing line. It looks like it says Rapallo 29-1-1920 possibly indicating the date. Rapallo is a town in Italy of course and you can also see the number 20 repeated in the two circle stamps in the top right corner. Ninna Nanna is an old Italian lullaby. Loved the video and I watched it to the end. Big hugs from Australia

This is a great Collection. Sure it belonged to a stamp collactor. For them its important that the stamp is still on the envelope or card. I think the office of the palace gave them to a collrctor. I am curious to see what you make out of it. The map of the lake in Switzerland....I smiled. My brother has a house "over" this lake. I saw the town/area where he lives. Wow great find. All the ones your not interested in. you need to cut off the postage stamps so you can use in your journals, give away or sale. Or give or sale the whole envelope. Same with post cards.. oh that photo of lady and kids if you look in bottom right corner think it had a date 1929?

Soak them in hot water for about 20 minutes they will come of the paper, dry them flat afterwards 👍🏻😊

FYI: At 1:09 the purple stamp caught my eye ... he looked so familiar ... so i Googled, 'was Gregory Peck ever on a postage stamp' ... the answer is Yes, there was a 'Tribute to Hollywood' series that honoured Peck for his 1962 Oscar award-winning performance as Atticus Finch in "To Kill a Mockingbird". At about 38 mins you had an envelope from Chelsea SW3 (London) 1966 I went 😮😮😮😮😊 as I was born in Chelsea 1961! Some really interesting finds. I did the old Googling again and your Princess Beatrix married in March '66 so I'm thinking the royal mail was mostly congratulatory on the special occasion. The Banana Splits was a kids TV show from the US that I remember watching on a Saturday morning here in the UK. I bet you'd recognize the theme song!!😊 TFS your treasures❤
