The next time your in Peterborough, take a walk along the trail behind the Holiday Inn. There are large rocks lining the trail, and just before the railroad bridge you can find some amazing fossils.

Some nice finds Jeff. Looks like there was still quite a bit of snow on the way out in the woods. Might be some small Thorianite crystals on that red Hematite covered Tremolite you found. Check it under a loupe! 👍😁

Whao, Jeff! You've outdone yourself, this time! See, what some extra effort (in climbing the hill) can produce?! GREAT finds. Can we see that plate, all cleaned up? Wonderful video, Jeff. Thanks!

Great finds, as usual! How's the drive in and landscape this Spring? For those of us stuck in simple cars, best to park @ the cabin where the maintained road ends? How's the walk in? I'm thinking of heading over soon.

When I was there I drove 3/4 of the way in past where the maintained road ends. The loggers last year fixed some of the rough spots that were giving small cars a hart time, no more big ruts in the road.

Howdy Jeff love watching your adventures, I'm from Texas but live in the Muskoka area with my wife and there's plenty of land around here that haven't been hunted yet. My question is the rock outcrops in this area I'm at have depressions where trees grow into, are these good areas to search because I've found a few but not sure if it's calcite depressions or just voids in the host rock

It never hurts to take a poke around, although tree depressions does not sound like a good spot when on bedrock.
