I love that the end result is the kind of found artifact that if you discovered it lost at a bus stop would absolutely be mind-blowing.

Your journaling is very impressive! I believe you're using it as intended: All content is optional, and what matters is you pick what you like and make it your own story !

Thank you for the video I hope to see more. I want to love this 4AD expansion but there are many elements I do not enjoy (tedious and silly) so I use it very flexibly and choose the parts that suit my more open play style. The author seems to encourage this.

Yes, Erik mentioned in many Facebook comments: this was his intention! I personally like this way as a solo player, being in both roles; I am more of a GM at the planning phase, and I am more of a player while going through the town.

Hi! Only came across your channel today and binge watched about 7 episodes!! Very addictive, and you're so engaging with the audience. I was unsure about 4AD but now bought 3 books! Do you still love in Hungary? Budapest is one of the most beautiful cities I've ever visited . Hope you're well, take care

Well this is really impressive :) I love the way the your game play weaves its story into any new results and future events - this is the story telling part of 4ad (and similar games I'm sure) that can sometimes be missed, and to some folk leaves them feeling it's "just all random rolls on random tables - why not get a computer to do it" --- so much adventure packed in to here :)))

Pretty amazing! My gameplay is a hodgepodge compared to you! 😅 love your ring too! Seems like you found that in a dungeon, a teleportation ring I think 😁

Do you play your adventures on loose paper then transfer the finished maps and stories to the journal at the end?

  • @luckyszilvi

Nope, I write and draw as I play. I draw the main lines and layout of dungeons, towns, etc, while playing, and then decorate (sometimes do colouring) after the playing session. In case of TTT, the writing parts are the interpretation of events, so I just write down the few sentences in my head - in time it is about the same that rolling a fight in a dungeon, but in this case these are mostly social interactions instead of fighting.

ohh also - how much to do yor 'play' each day (is it a daily journalling habit you've built?) - I'm lucky that my next notebook has page numbers -- so I will index everything! ;p

I can’t play daily, but many times a week. I also think about numbering pages at the end, and make a content table for the whole book!

Great video !! Question ? Does the game have rules for traveling . Let’s say you are at the south part of the town and need to get to a place that is all the way in the North. Does it have rules for spending time traveling from one part of the city to another? Thx

  • @luckyszilvi

Thanks! Yes, there are rules for how to count time when moving around the town. The tricky thing is that if you want to feel the living environment, you cannot just say ‘it will be 30 minutes’ but you have to encounter all the street events, beggars, guards, pickpockets, etc. Of course you can skip this, but I liked this part, as it really made me feel the busy streets!
