Thanks for this series. I too read this book and was amazed at the depth of its writer. The author is as interesting as the book. He is too many in one. Philosopher, politician, president and most interestingly a freedom fighter and general who actually lead troops in defense of his people in one of the the most atrocious war in the recent history. This book ought to be made into more reader friendly formats rather than the old PDF and made widely available. Keep this up brother.

Great series! I have some suggestions :) - _The Road to Mecca_ by Muhammad Asad - _Misquoting Muhammad_ by Dr. Jonathan AC Brown - Autobiography of Malcolm X - A biography of Salahuddin al-Ayyubi - _After the Prophet_ by Lesley Hazelton - on the Sunni-Shia split - _Signature in the Cell_ by Stephen Meyer (warning: reading or reviewing this book may cost you your job in academia :/) - _Why Evolution is True_ by Jerry Coyne or _The God Delusion_ by Richard Dawkins, or any similar book by an atheist pro-evolution person - _The Devil's Delusion_ by David Berlinski - _iDisorder_ by Larry Rosen - _Capital in the 21st Century_ by Thomas Piketty

Assalamu Allaikum. This is a very beneficial series, especially right now when there is so much of confusion going on all around the world. Would it be possible for you to make a list of books that you recommend a muslim to read, like the ones in this series? It would be very beneficial. JazakAllah Khayr

Just to add to your comments about confusing utility for understanding. Quantum mechanics has allowed us to create all kinds of new technologies. Virtually all modern computers, phones etc work according to the principles of qm. And yet no one has any idea of what the theory actually means. In fact sometimes a theory can be incredibly useful like Newtonian Mechanics (with which we were able to send spacecraft to distant planets - how about that for utility!) and yet it's fundemental postulates (that time and space are absolute) are wrong

pleasse elaborate more, As far as I know, qm haven't became part of mainstream computer. If it is, we would have quantum computer. Common computer still use turing machine model

+kharisma muchammad I will do my best although I must admit I'm more of a theorist than an engineer. Without qm we wouldn't have superconductors and without superconductors we wouldn't have modern technology. So all this technological advancement is based on superconductor technology which in turn is nothing but applied quantum mechanics. The reason why this may be confusing is because we are used to hearing people talk about quantum computers being in development (which is true). And this gives the impression that quantum mechanics has yet to contribute to computer technology when thats not the case at all. Quantum computing is a specific kind of revolution that is going to change the way computers encode and process information. Instead of the 0's and 1's in a conventional computer, quantum computers will use a superposition of states (simultaneously 0 and 1) and be able to operate much faster than normal computers. You could argue 'quantum computing' is a bit of a misnomer because our laptops and desktops already rely on some aspects of qm. Perhaps they could have called it super (short for superpositional) computing instead? I dunno..its just a scattered thought ;)

As salam aleykoum brother, thank you for all your reminders and advices. After reading Islam between East and West, I'm reading Islam and the Destiny of Men. I thought it was a really good book, untill I read the passage about others religions (since p 38). The position of the author is clearly heterodoxe, I think it's quite dangerous to advice this book at people who aren't initiate in Aqida. Don't you think ?
