That ken block 1/16 rally body was one of the coolest bodies I ever owned. Love that car.

X-Maxx is in a league of its own. I got to drive the little Maxx and it is fun but it is no X-Maxx. I can already see a big grin when you get that bad-boy out on 8S. The X-Maxx is the reason monster trucks will never go obsolete :)

Your going to love it , as the power is crazy and it’s really a totally different experience then most others, also if you decide to run it in any type of water remember to plug the breather hole inside the rim , because once water gets inside that’s when it all builds to a certain spot and it a you know what to drain out and your blowout will occur ! I do recommend getting a bullet connector type hole punching piece for your power drill and put two holes one on opposite sides of the tires and you’ll never have a problem with blowouts , water, or really anything it’s actually a game changer doing it , as you’ll never notice the holes and you’ll never ever have problems !! Keep up the Great Work !! 👍✌️

Awesome, I just bought my first brand new rc the Traxxas Xmaxx with the Traxxas 2- 6700mah 4s battery charger kit iam going to do a unboxing video on it its supposed to be the Rock and roll version will see here in a bit! I've only bought used RC's off of offerup and at swapmeats flex markets always used but this my first new factory purchase!

I remember when I didn’t know a lot about xmaxxs, first upgrade, 46 tooth got racing spur, max6 esc, indestructible body

No worries about the springs being compressed, cycling a spring is what causes it to wear 😉. I don’t store my rcs off of a stand either but that’s only to save the foams and tires.

They are a beast hey? Had mine for few months now , I run stock ( way good enough) just do a few safety mods like the underbody dry wall / goo or what ever you want to use , put a nut and bolt through servo saver ( biggish job bit well worth it . If you don’t you will see what I mean. Get a second set of Battery.

Traxxas scale is definitely their own. The call the Rally a 1/10 scale yet it was same size as HPI 1/7 Rally . Then they call the Xmaxx a 1/5 yet put that next to a Redcat Rampage MT mister truck and it's way smaller

I bought a blue one and absolutely love it!! Not surprisingly it's the biggest r.c. car I own! Lol

Mine just stopped steering. Its working on the road just fine. on carpet or grass, no steering at all. And that just happend on my second run :(. Just ordered the 2085x servo. Hopefully that works! Xmaxx is a blast! Holland says hi!

They compress the shocks so it fits in the box easier, that’s what they did to my summit to.

Get the internal cover for it to keep it clean, and make sure you upgrade the rear carriers to rpm

Who sells the internal cover?

Gear it up replace the stock spur “54T” with the optional “46T” and get a 22-24 pinion check the center diff sometimes it hardly has any diff fluid comes with 20mill stock i silicone ear plugs in mine kinda stops the front tires from ballooning mines far from stock anymore max5 esc castle 800kv with proline badlands 46/46 gearing but those are the few things i would of done when i got mine if i knew

With that 24/46 gearing what do you Achieve? More top end or acceleration?

First thing on the to-do list for the Xmaxx: Put a Max 5 ESC in it, the Velineon often catches on fire lol

Mark, question for you: what do you think of the X-Maxx, in stock form running on 8S? I currently have an E-Revo 2.0 and a UDR, both stock running only on 6S. The X-Maxx has always caught my eye and I'm considering selling both of mine to get an X-Maxx. What would you do? I don't have a ton of money to spend on RC and kind of just want one do-it-all vehicle that's good at everything. I was thinking about getting a 1/10 Maxx ever since they came out, but I feel like the plastic driveshafts would need to be upgraded pretty much right away (always had twisting issues with the plastic shafts on my old Rustler 4x4 VXL on 3S), feel like the widemaxx kit seems pretty necessary as well so right there with just those 2 upgrades you're looking at a $700 1/10 RC monster truck, or you could spend $900 and get the X-Maxx which doesn't really seem to need anything right off the bat. Granted, the pair of 4S 6700 mah lipos are very expensive for the X-Maxx compared to one 4S 5000 mah pack for the Maxx so that makes the overall cost of the X-Maxx even greater. What do you think is more fun overall, an upgraded Maxx or a stock X-Maxx? If I got the Maxx I'd probably want to do the steel driveshafts, widemaxx kit, LED light kit, aluminum turnbuckles, and aluminum hubs / bearing carriers (all in green of course!). If I got the X-Maxx I'd probably just do the LED light kit. I'm just kind of thinking, an upgraded Maxx like that would be awesome but would it be worth it? I feel like I'd almost rather keep my stock E-Revo 2.0 and UDR instead of doing that maybe. The X-Maxx seems like it might actually be worth it to try out, seems like it would be / feel / drive differently than any other RC pretty much. I've been into RC for about 20 years now, first vehicle was a Stampede 2WD brushed, 20 turn stinger motor. I've had a lot of different vehicles mostly Traxxas, and I've had a couple E-Maxx's so I feel like it would be really awesome to actually get an X-Maxx. My only question and thought is, would I rather have an X-Maxx or keep my E-Revo 2.0 and UDR? Definitely can't have them all, I wish haha. What would you rather own for your RC vehicles, just an X-Maxx or an E-Revo 2.0 and a UDR? Please let me know your thoughts, sorry this is so long but thank you so much if you've made it this far! Xmaxx is king 👑 and that's why we have 2 of them 🤓. Once you drive one, it's hard to bash with anything else. Also, get milled steel gears and rpm bearings

@@questionably_xavier9177 I second this. I have the brute bash body. I also have a Russian unbreakable body on the way as well although its been over 2 month and I still haven't received it yet with all this covid 19 thing going on

i think the compress the suspension only for packaging so the box isnt 2 times bigger

this is a tip that kevin talbot had said if you want to go crazy with the xmaxx you should take the skid plates off and fill the holes under the bulkhead with epoxy. it will just make it stronger but out of the box it is still very storng. easily the strongest RTR.

Deez louize give it a go dude by all means. If your on dirt you’ll be fine because the tyres will skid because the gear strips. But on Asphalt or concrete where there is grip there is so much momentum at the higher speeds then you break and the momentum takes the gear out and usually the opinion as well.

Your son did a great job with the scissor. I know they suck but it's a special safety scissor for kids. My daughter uses a look a like and I'm already aware of the frustrations. Zoë get me a scissor, ok dad. 1min later, is that a pair of scissors. It even doesn't cut, where is my swiss pocket knife?? 😂😂

I got the snap on edition. Box didn’t fit in the back of my car and when I got it out it just made me laugh over and over. It’s absolutely huge.

Hmm dont remember. They stopped production on the 70/30 so all the newer cars are 50/50 :( if you got a 50/50 that means you got a fresh xmaxx
