Use Teflon washers on the body screws to keep them from ripping out

I wish I saw a video like this before i bought mine. First run ripped the driver side off . Then the back. Oh well i was going to buy a clear body and paint it. I did reinforced the rest with duct tape and a strip of a beer can. I tell ya, i like the fox body better then the rigid.

yeah I've beat on this quite a bit and its due for another body, it will either be another fox or maybe even the rigid this time, not sure.

Yes RC lexan bodies are vacuum formed from a sheet of lexan, so it's near impossible to have consistent thickness throughout the body. Trraxas Should do something about the lower rocker panel area on this truck. I have actually ordered a new UDR body and one of those holes were already cracked out of the Box.

I used the Shoe Goo & Drywall tape method for my X-Maxx 8S and still have the original body after 3 1/2 years and it's still holding up! I plan on doing this to my UDR body as well. Good idea about gluing extra plastic to support the bottom edges and the screw holes. How did this area of your body work out in the end? Did it help any? If so, I may try doing this in addition to the Shoe Goo/Drywall tape...

how did you stop the dry wall tape being visible on the outside? As soon as you put it on, you can see the squares through the paint

Sweet I gorilla taped my udr body n shoe goo some of the plastic washers onto it

Hows the body holding up?

I also used the gorilla tape idea holding good . I don't think the extra weight will effect this beast of a truck , it has so much torque I'm actually thinking of adding weight to calm this thing down. What do you guys think?

If you add weight it would be best in the belly as low as possible.

I have a rustler and a 2wd slash and I was looking for something to add to my collection. I was originally looking at the xmaxx but that’s just a little too expensive for me right now. I went to my local hobby shop and saw the udr and I instantly fell in love with it. I just don’t know if it’s worth the money that it’s asking for. I want something that’s 4wd and that can take a beating. Is the udr a good choice for my next rc or should I wait for something else?

I really like mine. The metal Front center driveshaft is a needed part but if you want more of a basher maybe look at the cheaper erevo 2.0.

Super pissed off with this body. Just bought the UDR and I haven't even had the body on for 5 rides. 3 screw holes are busted and there are 5 cracks around the front tires. I bought a clear body to paint thinking that is gonna be my basher, but I guess not. Guess I'll just have to spend another $110 on another body and make it weight 5lbs so it can last 2 runs. Some other company better come out with a body that is as sexy as this one, but way more sturdy. After all, I went broke buying this truck. Any suggestions on what I should do after I buy a new FOX body? (Cut off the back up to the cab?)

buddy, these bodies just don't last, I did take off the bottom piece and I just let it flap and it doesn't seem to rip as much.

C T sorta yeah in the end the body still has some breaks but it has lasted a lot longer than the red body. It’s still on there in the recent UDR video.

I just bought a clear body . having a guy make a confederate flag sticker and a couple .08 stickers. And a couple beerspeed stickers. Its gonna be awesome

Anyone try stacking 2 bodies and gluing together with shoe gooo

dude, there is something way better then flex seal and waaaay better then that shoe gooo garbage. use the same drywall tape to reinforce all the weak areas then spray the whole inside with spray-on poly urethane truck bed liner. i got my slash used over a year ago and the body was already starting to crack and split in all the usual places that traxxas bodies do, i did the drywall tape bed liner thing and now with a year and several significant hard hits later the body is still holding up just fine, and what's nice about using bed liner is you only have to apply one coat so the drying time is considerably less plus you can probably do 8-10 bodies with one $10 can of bed liner....

ah hello its vacuum formed, it will never be even all the way through. Should have use the old body and double layer the easy to rip areas instead of throwing it away

yeah vacuum formed as they all are but some of this is paper thin and could have been made better.

get a Russian body like the one for the xmaxx if they don't do one it won't be long!

I drive half throttle on a crazy track and my Fox shell lasted 3 runs buddy.
