I love mine!!😍 I put a Holmes motor and servo in mine and an ierc flat bed, then I changed the body to the dual cab Chevy Silverado 👍🏼

Love my trx6, one of the most capable crawlers I have. Was surprised with its performance out of the box. A few minor upgrades and it's a beast!

Definitely. Best RTR out of the box.

I’ve got one with the only change being the servo & esc. It crawls like a beast. Very fun & capable.

I replaced the servo right away. I will be looking to replace the ESC or go with big bang with HW Axe system. Definitely fun and very capable.

Yeah, I might end up going that route. HW1080 is cheap enough, but works really well. I have them on most of my rigs.

Wow! That is massive rig! I imagine the power-to-weight ratio is affected in this case? For a 6-wheeler, this is very capable!

The power-to-weight ratio is definitely affected. The rig weighs about 10lbs, but it is using the same electronics as a bit lighter TRX4s. Eventually I might upgrade them, but for now I will be keeping them stock. Even with that, it’s very capable.

Wow, that sucks. Stock servo is always a crapshoot, but stock motor has been fairly durable. On the positive side, now you can upgrade to proper electronics.

Do you have any recommendations for TRX-4 batteries?

I really like Gens Ace. It's not cheap, but they have quality stuff. For the TRX-4, I use the shorty battery tray at the front. I use the Gens Ace Adventure High Voltage 4300mAh 3S1P 11.4V 50C Lipo Battery with XT60 Plug. They also have 3700mAh version as well. I kind of like the wheels on it, so I am not sure if I will be upgrading the wheels at this time. Did you swap out yours?

Just picked a TRX6 up as well. For my style of driving, the body will need to be heavily modded or replaced. Stock panhard mounts are extremely weak! Bumpers are terrible, sliders and faux exhaust need to go, needs a bunch of forward weight bias, stock electronics are not adequate. Once those are addressed, I see a ton of potential! Looking guesses to your progress and review.

Hey congrats on the TRX6! The faux exhaust was taken off immediately. I tried to help forward weight bias by removing the stock battery tray and using the front shorty battery tray. As for stock electronics, I am ok with the motor for now, but the ESC, boy even at Crawler setting, it is not working for me...it has barely any drag brake. I was debating about just putting in an old trusty HW 1080, or should I go full out and install a HW Axe system...still debating. As for bumpers, yeah it really needs a bit of work there. I am still debating, how I want to use it for. Not every rig has to be a crawler performer...pending on this, my plan for mods will change.

@@BigSungHobbies I’m running a 3S 3700 shorty pack up front as well. Haven’t removed the battery tray, but I’m sure it will come out. From past experience the stock motor, it’s a throwaway. I’ll donate it and the ESC to one of the local kids who might be in need. I’ll throw an inexpensive, but worlds better HH 12T TrsilMaster Pro and a Hw1080 in it. Nothing fancy, but reliable and massively better performing. I don’t expect the TRX6 to be a comp rig, it it has so much raw potential, it’s difficult not to push it and see just how good it can be.
