Is there a specific esc that I would have to use to run 3s on the castle 7700? It says in the instructions to run the 7700 on 2s but the sidewinder 3 says it can handle 3s..

Sure I have faster gears, stronger motor and better tires now. A little suggestion for the Vanquish truck, you're going to need to open the diffs or you won't get very fast due to bad handling.

Yeah those locked diffs are horrible at speed. In any speed stuff I do with this truck I have them open.

i have the 7700 in my pro-2 slash used a 40c 5000 venom two cell i hit 53 with lil over half to 3/4 throttle , yes gets hot fast but smiles per gallon is great ..

awesome, yeah the 7700 wasn't very happy in the trx4 either, maybe with a 9t pinion it would have been ok.

I use a 3300 kV motor with 35 to 72 gearing on 2 in. tires with a 7.2 volt NIMH battery. It will do thirty mph easily.

What a differance. Amazing speed for a crawler. What kv was the iroc motor.

Wouldn’t the high kv on 3s burn out the motor? I have 6900 kv motor and I wanna run it on 3s but everyone keeps saying it’ll burn the motor out

Yeah this was just for video. Keep it on 2S or it will fail if you really hammer it.

Castle motor are rated for 100k rpm.. it should be fine on 3s.. check your current motor max rpm, it probably tops at 50k rpm.. it will blew on 3s

What ESC are you running with that motor ?

I'm going to buy me another trx4 blazer crawler...orange this time, I regret selling my black and red one. But I'm not good at hooking up brushless systems in them so I would like to send it to you if you have the time to install one...I'll even buy the brushless system from you. I would like to keep 1st and 2nd gear just as yours in this video. Thanks

The 7700kv wasn’t right for this. But if you want this kind of power and solid speed with control the Mamba X with 3800kv motor would be it.

Did you have to reverse your trigger functions? Mine runs reverse now.

I used acetone, Set each tire in its own Tupperware bowl, put about 1/2" of acetone in set them on a piece of bent metal so they wouldn't actually touch the fluid and sealed them up, about a day and a half later I was able to peel them off the stock wheels. I had no damage at all to the tire or tire compound.

yeah but don't rush it and let it do its thing, you'll see the glue getting shiny after a few hours, you may have to burp the containers from time to time. I also peeled the tire beads back each time I burped them and after about a day and a half I was able to get them off.

I was thinking 28? Maybe ? 25? . But wow man that's good power. Great upgrade. Good video

I don't know but fir the duration of this video the motor was at about 130 degrees and esc was just over 150 and I lost 25% of a 3500mah battery so it was pulling a lot for this with stock gearing.

panic mike the axles have just over 7-1 ratio. That reduces the torque on the driveshaft which in turns reduces the torque twist.

Sweet. That means my bone stock setup shouldn't break for a while. Thus far, I have let a 5 year old play with it (in low) with a 3 cell, and buried it up to the roof in a sandbar on the Kansas river. Other than the pinion and spur silting up and having to be washed out, it hasn't broken.

Yeah I got the grey TRX Land Rover and it does tend to tip over when flexing to far to the side. The Bronco release will work well I think!

Not for sure what brand but they are cheap ones off eBay. I can try to find a link for you if you want or just search 1.9 alloy bead locks.

I got them off ebay for about $50 shipped. I did have to drill the center hole out to 6mm to fit the trx axle since it has a 6mm step up just before the hex.

Your gonna burn out that motor. High kv motors are for racing or short uses. And higher kv motors are mainly for 2wd vehicles and more speed passes. But interesting vid

Most mod my scaler motors are over 3000kv. The 7700 wasn’t happy in there but it was fun. It now has a 3800kv in it.

I ran the 7700 for a few runs just to see how it would handle, although it worked, it wasn’t happy as it was too amp hungry and got warm fast. My current setup is way better.

Exocaged RC I stopped by my local hobby shop today and asked what upgrade parts they carry for my trx-4. He said they don’t carry any, cause they don’t break. Great video. Subscribed.
