Traxxas TRX-4 Mercedes-Benz G500 4x4 Review - Just how good can a TRX4 be? An amazing rock crawler!

So now I've had a chance to run the Traxxas TRX-4 Mercedes-Benz G500 4x4 through a few battery packs on some challenging terrain I'm even more impressed, let's take a deeper look in this review. It took a bit of adjustment to get used to the body. My TRX4 Sport has had a kicking today too, but this was amazingly rewarding and was probably the most fun to drive.

It's growing on me, but since I already have a chassis I think I'm just going to get a body from a chop shop.

Yeah it's a fun shell and makes the truck a nice challenge
Put also a black one on my Bronco chassis. A little bit of trimming on the inner fender, put the original bumpers and the side sliders on and crawls the same like the Bronco. Why not? The same chassis and the body is lexan, no heavy hard body. The body is just a shell...
Id love to pick up Benz body and throw it on a TRX4 Sport chassis. May even take off the portals and make it an ultra scale overland vehicle.
Just got mine in, put some Proline Hyrax's on it, going to be getting some steel beadlocks aswell, looks quite a bit meaner with black rims and hyraxs.

Awesome! They are absolute monsters with grippy tyres. I run the Louise Rowdy’s as they seem to work best for UK conditions

Can I swap bodies ? I was thinking about getting this and a defender body and swap bodies and tires it would be like having 2 trucks 1 chassis

Not the defender easily as it’s fenders are mounted in the shell and the wheelbase varies. The bronco, blazer and sport bodies would all fit
Are the wheels 2.2s ?

They are 2.8’s with a 4.6 tyre
