I have a maxx v2 and Xmaxx I like them both. Max 2 very squirrelly and nibble. The Xmaxx big stable and fun. Just depends on what type of driving experience I’m in the mode for.

I got both of them. I just got my Traxxas XRT and same color velocity orange. After I got my 2022 Traxxas sledge, my XRT is brand new 2023

I love the orange. I will be paint up a new body this spring.

I haven't owned a rc since my 9.6v wild thing in the 90's. Xrt got me looking at rc cars again but I'll buy a sledge soon.

The RC'S now days are way better than they used to be I got a Traxxas Maxx a few years ago and I got hooked on RC all over again. Now I have a fleet of RC'S LoL. Thanks for watching 👍

I have the e revo 2.0, like it. I think id rather get the sledge over the xrt at its price point, and have money for a better esc, and other upgrades like the rear shock mount? IDK, ALL RC has its weak points. Though I want a xrt, my style is sending it to the moon, with flips. The E revo is fun, but after I up grade it for the same price I can just get a sledge, and upgrade a much better platform, simple is stable, stable is speed, speed is big air. Good video thanx.

I go back and forth between these trucks. They both are awesome. The sledge needs screw checks out of the box. I lost nut from the battery box.... also motor mount needs loctite. I have a couple comparison video between these trucks. You should check them out. Thanks for watching 👍

Thank You! I never was a fan of the erevo but I'm loving the sledge. I put the speed geering in my XRT and now it rips. Now I'm not sure which one I like better lol

I’ve been saving money for a while and finally had enough to buy a sledge then traxxas just had to come out with another car now I have to keep saving for that.

@@RevelationRC oh that's interesting you'd think faster gearing would detract from the accel and flippability, maybe as the tyres turn faster it generates the rotational torque....🤷‍♂️, sounds cool still tho ill have to check that video out....💪👌 I'm planning something crazy for my sledge, technically I only bought it to tire my collies out but I'm hooked now and as a custom car builder by trade my lil brain is popping with ideas lol, a great hobby. Same for me. Literally came out a week after getting the sledge. Sledge wins in my book. Easier to carry around. Can use one battery. I often just run a good 4s battery. Still plenty fast for me. Being used to nitro speeds of 35 or so this thing on 4s is fine. Handles better too

If you're really hard-core & experienced in RCs and know your stuff, then you know that the bigger the RC, the easier it is to drive. Same principal applies to RC planes, boats helis and drones.

I think the Sledge will be my next, even though I have an E-Revo and FireTeam already. I want an XRT or XMaxx but they are so big/heavy it would be a pain carrying them up and down to the basement every time I want to take it out to run.

I love my XRT and Xmaxx but they take up twice the space also. I run my smaller RC trucks more than the big ones. I think the sledge is gonna be a awesome truck 👍

The sledge is big enough imo also due to the next step up being quite a bit heavier

Owning both the Sledge is better. Drives better, is signifantly faster and just much easier to deal with. My XRT drives poorly. There is a clicking noise that is driving me nuts. Brand new truck and this noise seems to be coming somewhere are the center diff area. I think it is plastic pieces in fact. Whole lot of plastic on this $1K garbage. It also came with a damaged transmitter a bad receiver. Both of which O still have to replace. I am currently using my trx4 receiver and transmitter. Now the Sledge also had issues out of the box. It experienced a total failure of both the esc and motor after only running it a hand full of times. It is getting fixed as we speak. MY recent traxxass purchases have been plauged with issues that annoy the hell out of me. No issues like this with my Arrma Talion which destroys both of these vechiles. That said, I like the Sledge when running right. The Xrt is the hands down worst waste of money I have ever spent. Cheaply made, poor workmanship, underpowered, terrible driving piece of slop. Traxxass workmanship in general has gone down the tubes. There are much better manufacturers out there for sure who also make higher performing, more reliable vechiles.

Oh man that would make me mad.... I haven't had any issues with any of my traxxas vehicles. I must've gotten good ones. I really like my sledge. I was thinking about getting rid of the xrt...it's just not for me. I like my xmaxx better. I have been dabbling with arrma 6s outcast and infraction 3s blx... they are fun rc's. I am going to get a outcast 4s today. I hear it's an awesome truck.

I be seen the XRT did a backflip but on stock 20/50 gears it won’t do backflip too well you have to change it to 23/46 gears and it will do backflip but the XRT is alot more durable then a Xmaxx

I'm afraid to run the tall gearing so I don't overheat. If I want to backflip take the sledge or the Outcast lol. Thanks for watching 🙏👍

@@RevelationRC it won’t over heat it won’t hurt it. If you put a 26tooth pinion gear it will over heat. 23/46 won’t over heat. It’s got double cooling fans

Got XMaxx and sledge, I'm seeing that the XRT is the sledge version of the Xmaxx

I would get the xrt because of how fast it is for that big of a car.also my dad has a sledge I love the durability of it and speed but those tires on it are terrible they blow up so easy.

Thank you 👍 the xrt has a 3d printed wing mount but besides that it's stock. The sledge is all stock besides the front bumper. Thanks for watching 👍

If I had to Choose , I would take the xrt . I own both already and I had to put too much money into the sledge to make it durable and more enjoyable .

@@tellylek5533 it hasn't overheated yet but it's winter in Pennsylvania. When it warms up again I will test it out... I'm betting it's going to heat up. I'm going to set up the ramp and see if it will do a backflip. I think it's going to backflip easily now. I did a speed test and it rips now.

Which do you recommend to be used on a dirt race track? Sledge or XRT? I have an entry level scale 1;10 rc truck.. it is time for me to upgrade to high quality rc truck? Thank you.

The XRT needs 2 batteries and more space. I have the speed gearing in it since this video and it is way more fun now. I did a speed test and it wanted to rip the tires off lol If I had a dirt track around I would be bringing my sledge 👍

It's running on 8s. It was geared down. Now I have the speed gearing and it rips. This is an old video. I did 2 more videos with new gearing. Now it rip backflips all day

Do you own both? Cause I do. And out of the box the sledge is just on another level when it comes to quality. It’s a bulletproof car. I have now made it full m2c and can’t wait to see what it does. But my x-maxx 12s is till my favorite car
