Completely fill all three diffs. That won't completely eliminate the tires ballooning, but it will help lessen it. Second step (and this will eliminate 95+% of any ballooning is to replace the tires with belted tires. I'm running the Power Hobby Raptor 3.8" Belted. Alright, Richie...get to it.

Robb full on tire swap test coming up as I have same ones and they are the ‘business’ as tires go . It’s very good car as stock but with the power hobby tires on its world class. You know me and I’ll call it like it is, with those tires on its one of the top 3 rc cars I’ve ever driven

@@DriftomaniacsRC Have another "idea" for you. Order up a pair of the front CVDs...and mount them in the rear (they fit perfectly...as long as you remove the O-ring from the diff outdrives). This will resolve the "dogbones falling out" problem that a lot of people are having. As far as I'm currently aware, the only other problem several people have had (tho, ONLY when doing some seriously extreme stuff) is snapping the plastic shock caps. The 'fix' for this is, obviously, replacing them with the machined aluminum caps.

Those tires are made for off roading fun belted tires aren’t enjoyable off road unless you have the power to make those ballon a bit. And btw the arrma kraton is far superior to the sledge in many categories. the sledge is a more plasticy flavor of the kraton with less power i have already shelved both the sledge and xrt.. the xmaxx is just too dang perfect thats why i have 7 of them. And only 1 outcast 8s exb and one kraton 8s exb they break way too easily ehmmm xrt 😂 whaaaht who said that lmao especially with xlx2 1700 combo’s

Yep.. Scary indeed. I did that without knowing. Just after a run and a stone was stuck in the wheel hit just on top of my eyebrows at I may say 50mi. Never again 😅

Ouch! I can feel the pain! I once did this with an arrma 6s and the tire blew out just missed my eye. So now I always stand a little to the side

I got some belted street tires for my sledge but either way pavement or dirt the sledge is a beast.

You should make a video on how to put the gears together mine keep breaking off 🤙🏻

Duct tape the inside of the tires on my kraton 8s helped me I'd try it if I were you.

Under throttle landing your going to tear the tires off

Don’t purposely balloon your tires like that as it will come undone and blow your tires. Ballooning actually makes your rc go faster, however you loose the ability to control it and those speeds

You’d be right on that. Full test on the tires vs belted one’s being edited as we speak. Stock tires okay at 55mph BzuT very lairy with the speed gearing fitted!

I know it's named after the tire y don't the tire live uo to its name from what I hear if always blow up or come off the ri. Then it has to glue again I hate the fact that they (not traxxas in specific alot of companies) make the tires so nice but most of it uslly tend to blow up then we stuck with 3 tires then we buy other tires I know I know throttle control but y If I have alot of power in the car i would like to push full throttle anytime fill throttle and not worry of slurringvallvofer the place cause of ballooning or worrying if the tire is going to blow

Not the best thing for your tires; I’ve had all my Traxxas tires come off the wheel within a dozen runs.

Needs better foam. Traxxas sends their cars with really weak foam inserts.
