I use to run 12T Golbact in my 4wd.. Now I'm running a 11v - 19T Red Cat brushed motor..

Very interesting. I wonder if DI water might be better as it's less conductive? On a larger motor you could simply use a burnishing tool but with this little guy it would be difficult and as you said this method also helps to seat the brushes and clean the commutator. Great idea. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I watched a video about guys who raced brushed motors for years and always qualified at the top. They said they never used distilled water

You didn't mention after the fact. When you put the motor in and blew it out. And everything that you didn't oil the bushings. I sure hope you did. Keeping the bushings clean and lubricated help that motor immensely. You wanna try and keep as much dirt and stuff out of those bushings that you can. (The loose dusty dirt you're talking about.) it will eat the bushings right up in that motor if you don't keep it clean. Especially the pinion side. I would make sure tou put the gear protector on. It will keep some of the dirt out of it but not all of it.

Thanks yes failed to mention that. Yes I oil and clean them after every dirty run. They still don’t live very long. Even the ones with bearings on the pinion end die pretty quick. I did put some o-rings that fit the shaft tight and are big enough to cover whole bearing then just put the pinion on until the o-ring just barely touches the bearing and it helps keep dirt out a little better. Just ordered this motor for my Rustler. The Titan 12T bushings needed constant oiling or they would squel badly. Strong engine though. I've heard the Globact has bearings but yours looks to be bushings.

I haven’t seen the one with bearings, that would be nice to try. I agree the bushings in the titan are really bad. I cleaned and oiled mine after every dirt run and they didn’t last long maybe 12 battery packs. After the original titan went bad I put another one in and that started squealing the first time I ran it. The titan is the fastest of any we tried so far. Just put in a Holmes trail master sport ($20) yesterday. That has a bearing on the shaft side. It’s slightly slower then the titan also. Be interesting to see how it holds up. @@bapasrcadventures3619 The oil you use matters too. Regular three in one oil will just fling out cause it's too thick. A good synthetic oil should do the trick

It has held up good. I do clean it out and oil the bushing after 2-3 runs. It’s about 1 1/2 mph slower then the titan motor. I have a Holmes 550 12 turn trail-master in another car it is slower the stock motor also. Went from 90 spur to 86 and it is same speed as stock with no heat issues at all. Really good motor for $20.
