    I think the bigger spacers are intended for Slash 2wd front. As long as you have enough threads to engage the nylon lock on the wheel hex it should not be an issue. Definitely a boss build, those wheels are especially 🔥🔥🔥🔥

    shawng7902 so basically the longer you leave the part in the dye the more it penetrates. I have some pretty deep scratches in the bottom of the chassis and so far the grey has not shown through. I let the chassis sit in the dye at a low boil for a few hours and then kept it in the dye overnight while it cooled down

Within 1st 2 weeks I doubled what I had in it. Axles are the next upgrade. Those parts laying around lol. I have a new rustler in a box damn near myself. @@shawng7902 make sure you get the synthetic dye when you're picking it up. The synthetic will get further into the polymer/plastics. I dyed a plastic chassis for my son's Charger 10/22 years ago. After getting bounced around in a backpack for the last 3 years it's starting to show some scuffs, but nothing very noticeable. I only boiled it for about 45 minutes. I'm sure the finish would have held up better with more time.

    ALUMINUM CRUSHER I’m not a big fan of the udr I bought one a few weeks ago and it broke every time I used it so I gave it to my friend for free , he put all the upgrades on and it still breaks every time he uses it and it rolls over very easily. If you’re looking for a desert truck the Losi sbr is a way better choice I’ve had mine for almost two years and it hasn’t broken once it’s also a lot faster and better handling too

    So why did you actually bought the slash from your friend if you used 97% of your parts?

  • @SebastianLong
    @SebastianLong4 жыл бұрын

    That there is a good looking Slash. I had thought of something as I was watching the ESC and receiver box issue. How come you didn't mount the receiver box on your aluminum plate and mount the ESC down low? You wouldn't be able to use that specific plate obviously as you had made it to mount in the position it is. I thing the receiver and receiver box might weigh less than the ESC. Not 100% sure though as I never even thought about it till now. Either way, as long as it works, then it's good to go. BTW. Aside from the screws and a few other small bits, I think you just built a second Slash rather than using the original. Lol. That Tekin setup in the old chassis is a sweet deal. I've heard Tekin is a reliable ESC. I've got the same Castle system you have and have not even used it yet. I originally bought it for the Summit, but as time went on I thought about putting it in other RCs. It eventually got back around and the Summit is definitely going to get that system. I originally bought it because I thought it was a sensored system, which it is not. At the time my Summit was my only "crawler" hense why I wanted a sensored brushless system. A couple years later I picked up the TRX Bronco and now that is my dedicated crawler, so I can convert my Summit into an E-REVO with selectable lockers. Lol.

    Lane Waite I thought about that too but it would be hard to route the motor wires around the receiver and the esc would be very close to the servo but I think it would definitely better for weight distribution. You’re right about the tekin electronics they’re very good and reliable I’ll end up using them in another truck at some point

    Thomas Waldon I don’t really hate traxxas I was mad at them for a while because they tried to put arrma out of business but I’m over that lol. Truthfully traxxas makes a lot of good vehicles that are fast, durable, affordable and awesome all around bashers but overall I think arrma makes the best trucks because they’re faster, handle way better, extremely durable and comparable in price.

    I had the Arrma 2wd Granite. It was like having a 200 dollar Wal-Mart truck. Underpowered, shit handling, breakable, and needlessly complicated to work on due to chassis design. I don't care if they come out with a 200mph Batmobile, I'm never owning another Arrma again.
