I got the same truck a few weeks ago. You are correct it’s a blast at the beach. Put some paddles on it and she rips. I got into 2wd cars 1 year ago and I have a blast racing my grandkids on their oval track.

Good video. I prefer the 2wd since there's no front diff or driveshafts to worry about and the electronics don't need to work as hard as in a 4x4. Like the more body options as well. You can easily put a Bandit body on it too.

I agree less maintenance too, just as fun!

I have two of the regular rustler 2WD and bandit I put tape on the battery cover on the bottom of the remote and put the name of the vehicle on them.

I went to the carpet track and put some racing tires on it. And I made a video, it drives really well on a track after adding some upgrades.

Those first scrapes on a new RC are the worst! Great video!

Yeah they hurt ... after a few scratches i slammed my rustler inot the concrete nose first my reaction was-..... meh... it's still in one piece...

Another good video Mike, the two wheel rustler is a great skate park basher

I recommend the Anacondas for pavement and stock tires for dirt! VXL is a beast.

I got the anacondas for pavement and honestly I don't really like them. I don't find them that grippy. Car spins out quite often. I've been wanting to try the Banditos.

i concider this the demon of rc cars because it has SO MUCH power thats just sent to the back and the front tires dont like to stay on the groundl

Omg my brother got me this car as a gift back in 2010 I still have my rustler vxl it’s amazing car had a lot of fun with it and it’s my only rc car 😅

@@bassinup5184 trust me once you go brushless it’s a lot of fun I have rustler 4x4 vxl fitted with 2.8 sledgehammer tyres and it’s great fun does about 70km/h. The bets upgrade I have apart form that is an esc fan and dust cover running on 3s I rarely to never overheat and cleaning is basically none.

i prefer 2wd, kinda because i started with them. but..... mostly because wheelies are fun.

I hade a 2 wheel drive rustler it was my first rc car it was brushed the I swapped it to a VXL the sold it and bought a 4x4 rustler VXL and I will probably not go back to a 2 wheel drive because a 4x4 has a lot more control in air and on the ground

What's the difference other then the speed of this traxxas rustler and the traxxas rustler that goes 35mph. I like I'm better though cause it won't break as easy so that saves my cash in the long run

My rustler 4x4 vxl can't even run battery out before it breaks

i would add some ballast to the front

Thay may be, rear tires are very soft, will wear quickly on concrete

I can I am not happy they make rustler vxl.

Forgot the "Turn On Sequence" Mine was all fucked

What you mean their buisness model is to have parts readily available for cars and trucks even if they are really old?? How horrible for the customer...😂

I'd stay away from traxxas support if at all possible.

Everyone should have at least one of these in their stable.

Crapxxas? That super overrated thing is a robbery and a waste of money. You got better options at a much lower price that simply smoke it. A.K.A More bang for your buck. A clear example is the Serpent SRX2 MM or RM, just to name one. And no: Spares availability is not an excuse to buy Crapxxas, it's just their bussines model, they don't really care about anything else. Have fun now... While it lasts.

Got an upgraded rustler 4x4 vxl the thing is bulletproof and an xmaxx aswell that’s even better it’s also good to get parts if something brakes.
