Crazy your battery just went up in flames! I’ve been lucky to never have that happen, but I’ve had a few drop cells and get hot. (Non Traxxas batteries) I’m wanting to make the switch for ease of use and warranty.

It’s a good bag to have while charging. I would go on eBay and buy a used military surplus ammo box. Not the ones you see in stores…. I’m talking about legit military ammo boxes

Get the M2A1 / M2A2 .50 cal surplus ammo can from eBay

I was just confused…. If I drive my car and the battery dies can I use the storage mode charge to bring the battery back up to charge if I don’t plan on using the battery for a couple of days? And let’s say after a couple days I want to use the battery that was in storage mode, do I then use the balance mode to fully charge the battery before it’s used for driving?

If your not using the battery, keep it in storage. When you are charging, balance charge it.

Question, is it possible to discharge a lawful puffed up battery?Is it safe to put ino low charge mode

A pregnant battery is not safe.

When storing to I need to keep plugged in on storage mode the entire time. Or can I unplug and put in a bag? Thanks

When you put the battery in storage mode, it’s essentially the opposite of charging it. The charger will tell you it has completed its task in putting your battery in storage and you can unplug and put it somewhere safe preferably a lipo bag or a surplus military grade ammo canister ( that’s what I do )

What happend when the rc boat speed control gets un sticky and comes out what do I do and I plugged a battery with full charge and it didn’t work.

Take a double sided tape and put back the speed controller assuming it didn’t get damaged. Replace the speed controller with the same one or upgrade it, up to you

Question brotha… would appreciate if u can reply I got the ez-peak dual charger which I charge two of my 5000 lipo TRAXXAS batteries and I did use my car for 20 to 25 minutes more less but something came up so I had to unplug it let it cool down for a little bit but ut still had some battery left since it never died or anything…. After that I tried store charging it since I won’t use it until the following week but for some reason it shows 1a and takes forever to go to 2a is it because the battery was still high? Since I was still able to use it more Also last thing….. I want to balance charge my batteries but idk where exactly to stop it to know the 40% that’s way I can out them away so what I did left it at the 3a mark idk if I did it right

You had to let it cool down while charging?!?!? Charging a traxxas battery either balance or speed charge should go without any problems. If you do have any problems especially because the battery got too hot SOMETHING is wrong with either the battery or the charger. Idk what but stop using immediately if that’s the case. The only time I have the charger stop to take a break is if I’m using my universal charger putting a fully charged battery that’s fully charged on storage mode and after 90 minutes it will tell me it needs a break but that’s because it’s a massive 10,000mah+ By the way. The reason why I say stop immediately is because you said (so I had to unplug it let it cool down ). When it comes to lipo batteries or any kind of lithium battery, they are all subject to what is called THERMAL RUNAWAY ( look it up) these lipo batteries are no joke and once they go up in flames it’s very very violent and you’ll end up burning down your apartment / house. Not worth it! You can buy a lipo bag where it has a hole in it so you can put the lipo battery in it and pull the leads out and charge the battery while in the lipo bag. Batteries get damaged, old etc. they get also pregnant where they swell up ( puff up ) any of these are indicators that you need new batteries! Be safe stay safe and enjoy your hobby. No no yes u did let my battery cool down brotha for the 20-25 min more less then I charged it Just my question was since I didn’t fully use my battery ….. idk what percentage I’m at so if I store charge it idk how long it will take to fully charge it to the 40-50% mark which I’m confuse And if I balance charge it it’s confusing when I can stop it to the half range since I don’t understand my ex peak dual charger what light indicator is more less the 40% mark so I stopped it at the 3rd light balance charging it so idk if that was ok. I understand everything about letting it cool down etc just the charging since my battery still could of kept running but since I got busy I had to unplug it so when I came home I tried to store chsrge it but feels like forever so idk how or where I can see more less the 40%

With regards to the Lipo bag that saved the person's house from burning down am I right in saying these batteries can catch on fire even when they are not connected to anything or was it connected to a source inside the bag?

Answering your question, I personally haven’t had a situation where a lipo battery spontaneously ignited while charging, in transport or in storage mode BUT I have heard of it. I have had a catastrophic failure while playing with my rc. I immediately unplugged it and tossed it to save my rc ( not suggested ). So that all being said everyone should take precautions with lipo batteries I use military surplus ammo boxes on eBay with rust and what not to store my batteries and use the lipo bag while it’s charging ( it’s got like a opening for the leads to come out or in.

@@insanegnyc I have the EZ-Peak Live Dual as well and am a bit confused with the storage mode. When I select storage mode, I can see the battery charging up to and past the 50% mark through the app on my phone. When it reaches that point are the batteries considered to be in storage mode and I can then stop the charging? Otherwise it seems to be just siting there at the half way point and it also gives me a time of around an hour until full charge.

Storage mode is storage mode. Never leave a battery fully charged. Especially plugged in. Always leave it in storage mode when not in use for maximum life. What’s your question? Btw insane G is my 2nd KZread channel. Just realized I answered you before with my other account

Does storage mode typically take a long time to do? My 4s battery has been in storage mode recharging for over a hour is that normal?

Yup espically if it’s fully charged. Which is why you wanna use up the battery so when placed in storage mode it will be quicker

Will it hurt storage charging after each use. I don’t use them weekly much

The only thing that will “hurt” / damage your battery is keeping it fully charged for a extended period of time or keeping it plugged into anything. It never hurts to store your batteries in storage mode
