Hey rc guy. I am still running this old beast which will be 16 years old this year if I’m correct . I’m jealous of revo 2.0. So many upgrades and necessary upgrades at that. Don’t get me wrong I still love my original brushless e revo. Thinking of making a steel brace for back section on top above springs . My gear ratio atm is 18/54 or 20/54 . I’ve stripped to many nylon spurs so I went with metal to metal gear . So far good, just always check it’s got movement on slipper. Fun

Hey JP nice that you bought a e revo, you will certainly not regret it. I still love this monster truck. He is very strong, I havent broke enything yet. As a newby, be gentle with the throttle and learn to drive the revo. Otherwise you will make some unwanted wheelies (trust me I've been there). Check the wheels are well tied and have a lot of fun.

Yeah, Wheelies are NOT something I like. Is there a way to minimise them ? Like some weight placed on the front, or else ? I noticed you seem to control the wheelies pretty well. Thank's !

If you drive normal like me (so no full throttle) but steadily increasing, he won't make wheelies. So no extra weight will be needed. If you're planning to drive on 4S there will be no problem. You can also experiment wit the suspension height.

JP St-Jean This may be a little late, but you can install a wheelie bar on the back bumper that will prevent the car from flipping.

Ik rij soms met de slash van men neef en vind dat die totaal niet luisterd en je krijgt er niet echt een feedback van. Bij de Revo is dat totaal anders, het is een zware massa die luisterd, goed remt en hij is zeker en vast snel. Maar het is een bash auto niet echt een racewagen, daar is die te breed en zwaar voor.

A metal gear will simply be stronger, I haven't broke anything yet.

The old one is soooooo much better, just get a Summit if you want to, don't buy the 2.0.

Anybody else notice that at 1:30 the front right wheel spun in the opposite direction?

reemer911 Yes it's a 4x4 and it's certainly worth the money ;)

you'd get twice the run time if you made some battery packs out of some lg mj1's. just so you know. :)

MothVlogs i would not recommend it for beginners, it's very pricey and has a lot of mass at high speed, if you do not pay attention you can ride against your leg (happened to a friend). if you want a Traxxas: m.traxxas.com/products/showroom?f%5B0%5D=field_power%3A37&cat=electric maybe a slash / 1,16 e revo / bandit / rally car

MothVlogs I have this car as my second rc. But it's the brushed one. This would be a good beginner but I recommend the brushed edition. Or if it's your first rc car try a traxxas slash 2wd

It happened to my I got hit by it from couple feet away and believe me it hurts.. I wouldn't recommend it to a crazy beginner it's dangerous if not carefully handed..cheers.

I might have gotten the same problem with my Revo. For some reason I couldn't turn my Revo on, their was no clue everything seemed fine. But the problem was just lying in the on/off switch, a poor connection. So I opened it up and bended the metal a bit more and boom the esc worked again :). This video might help: kzread.info/dash/bejne/k3unwduforXAkag.html , He is spraying som electrical fluid on it, I didn't do that, I completely opened the switch and bended the metal plait. That did the job for my.

I was told you run the risk of burning up the motor, using 3s lipos

I think your source meant 2x 4S will gif problems. Because the esc and motor from the E Revo are build to run on 2x 3S OR 2x 2S. For more information you can look at this picture: traxxas.com/sites/default/files/images/56085-E-Revo-Speed-Cart.jpg

Have a look at the Traxxas site, it says 1/10 scale

That's not 6s. 6s will too easily flip it over backwards on pavement.
