Because of how music gets out there. On the radio and on TV they play play songs with hidden meaning that are mostly made to just sound good. Then the music outside of that, that gets big are the highly controversial ones that involve ridiculous things in the videos i.e. Skepta's All Over the House. We live in a time where something as suggestive as this is blocked from the mainstream in order to protect kids, this all happened in the late 80's early 90's and has also affected the film industry. Most films released are PG, including horror films. In the 80's things were a lot more lenient, so the quality in the mainstream media has diminished hugely, hence why every song in the charts is a generic club song, R&B full on innuendo and child friendly bands and solo artists. And it is also why every major film is an adaptation, sequel or remake. Censorship is causing genuine art to fail. I know what you said was rhetorical, but I just had to rant on about it.

+Deadpool What you said clears a lot of queries..Thanks for that..But still good bands are vanishing away while most of the modern musicians are ruling over the music of this generation by involving fancy things that people care more than the music..That's really a concern.
