Hi David, I am trying to get started on finger style blues. I've been away from guitar for a few years but still have all the basic chords under my fingers. I think I can learn what you are playing in this video. However you mentioned that C is a challenge. Do you have similar basic "how to" videos in other keys? Also are there tabs for basic exercises in various keys? Doug

Most of his videos are about E, A and D. C is really rare and C with an alternatingg bass even more so.

Mr.4 etc. - If you mind unsolicited advice, please stop reading now. If you don’t mind, and are serious about learning FS blues, suggest you check out membership in his Fingerstyle 5. It’s a very structured set of monthly lessons from basic to advanced, blues (and blues with a jazz tinge) in all keys from a gifted teacher. I’ve been playing for 50 years and it’s the best I’ve found. Good luck to you!

I’ve tried numerous other online classes, but now after 15 months in David’s The Fingerstyle Five membership, the effect has been truly transformational for me. The instruction and material is approachable for both beginners and intermediates, and stays fresh and engaging every month, always working toward learning complete arrangements of notable blues songs. But, the best part is that I’m learning the instrument, not just songs. Since I joined we’ve worked on songs in Drop D, E, A, and now C, over steady and alternating bass. My only regret is not finding this sooner!
