What seems so simple is in actuality very difficult to master (for me at least). I expect I'll be spending a bunch of time on those first 10 seconds!

Another great lesson and a good example of the kind of material presented in the FingerStyle Five. It's a great way to learn finger style blues.

The 2nd fret of the 3rd string and the 2nd fret of the 4th string How does the middle finger of the left hand do it?　I can't figure it out from the video. Please tell me!

I'm the same. I just keep my finger on the 3rd string and nudge it on to the 4th to dampen it. It doesn't sound clearly but gives a beat which works

Two days from never Travis picked in C to being able to do the first 2 bars. All falls apart when I slide up to the flat. My thumb doesn't work!!!!

It’s the new‘ish’ shiny Santa Cruz (Mr DH describes it at the end of in FOI-Vol5-Blues Development if you want to learn more about it, Jan). My bet is that the Martin was still tuned in open D when he shot today’s video ;-)
