Thank you for this comparison. I have always been a fan of Travelon, but my last two bags were disappointing. The zipper broke on both very soon after purchase. I have never tried Pacsafe, but if they are more durable than my Travelons, I will give them a try and convert if they hold up better.

Thank you for doing this review! I've been debating over these two brands for an upcoming trip. I really like the look of the Travelon bags, but after reading reviews on Amazon and seeing this, it really seems like the Pacsafe is the better quality bag.

I got 2 of the traverlon bags and travel to overseas&Europe. I have never had any trouble with my bags. Own it for more than 5 years and very happy with the bags.

I own pacsafe and travelon bags. They both have their good and bad points. But, personally the newer pacsafe bags are inferior to ones they made about 5 years ago. I'm glad I still have all my older ones that have full exomesh lining. new ones don't. Travelon is okay. Never had any issues with them. I just like the locking mechanism on the pacsafe bags better than travelon. Other than that no issues.

I've used Pacsafe wallets, purses, and a backpack for years. I tried a Travelon bag and returned it due to the lining ripping the FIRST time I put my hand in it to test the depth of the pocket. There is absolutely no comparison in quality between these two brands, Pacsafe is great.

I have several PacSafe bags -different sizes and designs. My one go to PacSafe bag I’ve had since 2015. That thing has traveled with me to parts of Asia, hiking trips in the PNW and multiple road trips. I still use it.

I love my pacsafe!! And definitely more durable!

I have my second pacsafe bag. The other one got very well used. I’ll stick with Pacsafe

Quality-wise, Pacsafe is the best! The zipper to the main compartment of my Travelon Anti-Theft Flap-Front Cross-body Bag unfortunately malfunctioned after the first use.

I used to always buy Travelon, but the latest bag the zipper split open on the first trip. The bag wasn't over filled and I couldn't fix it.

My Travelon bag's zip broke after only a few days usage. Thank god it was not the main locking one but one belonging to the outer pocket. I own a few Travelon bags and the things I like about them is that they look to be waterproof, have separate slots for credit/debit cards. Love the external slip pockets in some models to carry mobiles. My single Pacsafe bag is used mostly while travelling because it has several organizational pockets. I have my doubts that it is not waterproof. Pacsafe bags do not seem to have separate RFID blocking card slots like Travelon does. Using the Pacsafe bag, one needs to have a separate wallet or small sling purse to carry cards and cash.

I was contacted by Travelon here, to look into problem of broken zip. Since my purchase was out of USA through online merchant, they did not replace the bag but sent me zipper pull through post. I got it replaced through a local bag repair shop. Now, another of the zippers have broken. I have a lot of travelon bags. This bag, the Travelon Anti-Theft Signature E/W Hobo, is the one I use regularly. And this is the one giving problems. I hope my other bags do not give problems while using.

So, beware of buying Travelon bags online unless you have a good replacement policy in place.

I don't like Travelon design and I prefer Pacsafe. I have 2 Pacsafe bags and loved it. Ordering my 3rd Pacsafe waist bag and its on its way.

LOVE PACSAFE PRODUCTS!!!!

I personally like Pacsafe just because I don't want to get cancer from using Travelon. They have Prop 65 warnings on all their bags. Like what are they putting in these Travelon bags ? I'll just stick with Pacsafe.

Thank you for this info. It lead me to research more about travelon. You should know that there is a youtube video with travelon CEO talking about this. The video is called Prop65 victim- travelon. Worth the watch if you are contemplating of buying this bag!

I could not hear it properly with all the rustling.

Travel on bags ate great. I have had mine for 7 years and never fails. You just got a bad match it happens. Give them another try

Travelon bags are great, you just happened upon a dud, that is never the norm

The noise fabric of the bags against her bricks of your hearth is very distracting.

It is impossible to hear what you are saying.

My wife's travel on bag has served her well

Fix your audio next time..
