Agreed. I’ve got a place near me and it’s your typical and local takeaway place that dabbles in pizza, kebab, wraps, chips, wedges, burgers and whatever else and their burgers/pizzas are really nice. I then see someone settle for something like what Danny got from this trash dump and I’m sat there thinking “what why”.

I was in hysterics when you said the sausage looks like it needs to go on holiday and it looks like a dead finger was - was too funny. There’s no way on earth I could eat any of that but well done for doing it to bring us some entertainment.😀😀😀

I was truly shocked by what you experienced at ‘East West’ takeaway- I’ve never seen such a sea of beige as that tray of food that was foisted on you! I agree with your rating - 1 maybe 2 at best, just cos of the Irn Bru. Anyway, this Edinburgh Chippie, it’s called L’Alba D’Oro- Fabulously done fish! Ask for the Haddock Supper (Fish n Chips). Pizzas are also great- they are Italians so they damn good at this- The Fiorentino, if memory serves me right, was brilliant and well tasty!!! Get the battered mushrooms as well as the deep-fried Mars bar!!! I tell you, you won’t want for much more! It’s not super cheap but the old saying is true here, you get what you pay for! Let me know if you think it’s worth coming up for again! There are quite few other nice takeaways in Edinburgh like Indian, Chinese and especially Italian. Italian family chippies seem to make the best FIsh and Chips, (FACs)! I’ve been all over UK with my job and I always make a point of trying the FAC in each town. This is the only time I've seen Danny give a bad review, but looking at all the dry undercooked food I don't blame him. They threw a fucking raw beef burger into a fryer. The place should honestly be shut down for doing that. If you're gonna have a box of fried food, even if it was better quality and actually cooked, you'd expect some sauce to go with it. Fried food from a cheap takeaway is always going to be dry and fairly tasteless, I couldn't eat any of that without eat least ketchup.

A decent quality deep fryer big enough for a quarter of a regular sized good quality oven pizza or half a mini one that pays itself back in superior pizza crunches and in how much money you save overall compared to ordering in is only about £30.

I think Ive just found my new favorite channel

A friend in Scotland introduced me to the munchie box about 10 years ago. We ordered one for a laugh. It was much better than the one here. Edible food with more variety. Unhealthy of course. I didn't think these were designed for families but for drunk people in the middle of the night.

I liked the way the boss man got his wallet out from his back pocket for the change. A real clue to the dodgy business he's running.

Next time your in Scotland, try out our local Indian, in Leuchars Fife, it's called New Delight, they do a great Munchy Box, 10" or 12" pizza box stuffed with Chips, Donner Meat, Veg and Chicken Pakoras, Chicken Tikka, salad, garlic mayo, and a spicy dipping sauce, also not a bad Indian takeaway. We also have a great chippy in Guard bridge just down the road, called DaLi's they are V good, and do great pizzas. you could also pop into St Andrews, to do a few reviews there, as there are plenty of good places to eat there. All this in North East Fife.

We call that pond the Murdieston Dam lol. I've never had a pizza crunch but Ive had the deep fried pizza minus the batter many times and love it. Not had anything from this particular takeaway. The burger inside may not have looked the best and a deep fried pizza is a cheap pizza. But I think it's just a Scottish thing that we are used to all that up here. We like to deep fry everything lol even the Mars Bars.

Goodness me I've never seen someones subscriber numbers sky rocket like yer man here... Mans popped up as a recommendation a few days ago & if ever a fella should be on telly it's this man. In this toxic rather hate filled world this man is the perfect antidote.

This is shocking, there are some fantastic takeaways in Greenock he could have tried. The best ice cream I've ever had is at the West Station cafe Greenock.

Whoever recommended this place to Danny was clearly doing it as a wind-up. That burger will make you unwell.

Hey just noticed your channel I'm thinking about jumping in the car and heading through to try this place it's around 50.miles from where I live but Largs is just down the coast lovely little place

that burger had a heart beat.... u could tell that place was the pits just by lookin at the owner.....hes one of those guys who says "ahhh just cover it in batter, they`ll never know" that was some rank food.....id have took it right bk.

I really like Danny's sincerity and honesty in his reviews. I'd eat anywhere that he rates as having excellent food, and avoid anywhere that he says isn't providing good food. Massive thumbs up and kudos to the cameraman, who I think always does an excellent job of providing fantastic photography and editing of the work.

This might be the funniest review! I thought at the start he grew a mullet, I thought look at the state; and was laughing, then realised it was a wig converted in a Scottish hat! I loved the effort he put in! Then he referred to the Sausages as a 'dead finger!' Also ' needs an holiday that,' Frickin' split my side's up, this whole review!

Hey fellow Belfast bai, the country south of us officially goes by Ireland (not the Republic of Ireland). We live in the UK, or Northern Ireland if you want to be specific. I'd be happy to say Ireland instead of Northern Ireland if the country south of us didn't claim it, just like Canadians can't say they're from America because the country south of them claimed that word, even though they literally live in North America. Like we live in Northern Ireland.

Lol, sorry you wasted your journey coming up to my home town for that, that place is easily in the top 5 worst places to eat in greenock, you literally could have driven down the street to a far superior chippy, i hope this experience has not put you off coming back up the road again, to Scotland haha. @Richie B, I'm from down south and when Danny arrived at the place I had in my mind that he would be getting something at least a BIT exotic. When the guy he spoke with in the shop described what he was getting he should have just walked out and said something like 'I've travelled x miles from Leeds to get THIS??' When he opened up the box can you honestly say you have seen a less appetising box of food? OK I'm Italian by descent but the Italians KILL you with their food because 1. it looks so FANTASTIC, to entice you and 2. then you TASTE it. Kudos to our excellent host for the honest, truthful and yet respectful comments, full of northern humour and charm.
