Hi Both, thanks for the comments on beacons v Red triangle. I did take the advise and seek out GPS bob at the show. Easy to fit and bury in the dash, works great.

There will not many that know what gas mantle lights are, we had them in the main marquee when I use to go on the yearly Boys Brigade camps, washings in a bowl of cold water on a trestle table in the middle of a field in Charmouth and remembering fondly saving my mum washing on our return because the cloths we wore all week walked themselves into the bin!, Great memories except for being woken at 7am every morning by some nit playing revalley on. Bugle

I think Matt's got his UK sticker answer the wrong way round - my understanding is that ONLY Spain require a large oval UK sticker and everywhere else is happy with a UK on the license plate.

Insurance thatcham approved tracker's becoming compulsory now with anything valued over £50-£60k. So more expense when considering buying a moho 🙈

Yes true. And of course this value includes more and more Motorhomes as their values grow. But means more exposure for insurers too and thus higher premiums…. More costs again for consumers!

Agree with you there Matt about Smart Motorways, so dangerous, we also drive in lane 2 to avoid the chance of crashing into a broken vehicle. Just watched Panorama on the very subject, horrifying findings of how many’s radars and cameras are often faulty and not working so stationary vehicles aren’t being picked up. Nothing smart about them at all!

Yes shocking! And the power outages lasted for days I heard!

How an earth are the orange beacons going to be put onto a large (e.g. A-class) motorhome? I can't reach the roof without a ladder plus if it were placed on the roof at the front, no-one approaching from the rear is going to see it or vice-versa. The vehicle is also non-magnetic so there is no where to secure it.

Just place it on the floor behind the motorhome You could also use several spaced out behind you.
