No they didn’t ask for it. But best to have it with you just in case. They only want the passenger locator form for their country. If you don’t have that then it’s not a problem. They give it to you when you land.

I exchanged like £200 at the airport. Then used the ATM or made card payments. My bank does not charge any fees for card payments in certain countries.
