Oh no!! That's terrible. This whole thing about test supply is so sad. In Puerto Rico, we were lucky that my dad's doctor was able to due the tests upon arrival. But not everybody is that lucky. Feel terrible for your daughter. This sounds like a nightmare. These are good tips for everyone.

This really left us speechless, Karen. It's scary the way these scammers get away with things like this. I'm so sorry this happened to you and your daughter. And then the strict covid UK guidelines - I had NO idea they were still being this strict. It's like it's another world over here in the states. Thank you so much for making this video! Hey you guys!!!!! Aren't you glad you came when you did??!! Fortunately for us, the impact was minimal. But one thing I didn't mention, were all the stories and reviews where people lost hundreds (and some thousands) of pounds because they couldn't get on a flight. Or they had to buy new tickets, or lost a rental car reservation, etc., etc. We were extremely lucky. And yes, it is amazing to have her back. Love every second of it x

Karen what an ordeal. I’m so happy your daughter is back home and glad everything got resolved… it was precious to see her running at the dnd. I’m trying to get to Chile but the regulations are crazy too so I can’t travel yet 😭😭😭

Aww Kathy. Is this world ever going to right itself? I didn't know you came from Chile!!! I think South America may be worse than the UK in some ways. We were supposed to end lockdown in a couple of weeks here in the UK ... now delayed another 4 weeks. Our numbers are going way up. Again. At least I have had my two vaccines. I feel like super woman 💪🌹✈

Oh man, this video was so well done. Love all the movie clips and animations you are using. Really adds to the video. Sorry to hear you got scammed. This is so complicated. This is a great story telling even though it was not a fun story. So crazy cause in the U.S. so easy to get a test and it is free. These are great tips for others who is going through tue same experience.

Thanks Carl! I always wait to hear from you on my videos. They aren't actually posted until you comment 😂 It was a more difficult story to tell because I had to avoid "boring". The magic of edit. Chop, chop, chop, don't need that, chop some more. We can get tested any time we want for free - but this needed to be purchased. So ridiculous. And would be so easy to fix if the government labs just handled it all, using certain private labs only. At least we didn't lose out on plane tickets or rental cars or family things because of it. I have heard such horror stories. Anyway. Hope you guys are safe and well x

@@RenLuuk My daughter was in the US for 2 years and is now home due to covid, but I am so pleased. She had an incident once coming home where her flight just left without her due to storm delays on her connection! The airline expected her to sit in an empty terminal for 24 hours (with no stores open or security or lounges) as she was to young to go to a hotel! It was so freaky... in the end a family of a friend came to get her in the middle of the night! We will be forever grateful! The phone battle with the airline was so stressful.. in the end I was just happy to have her home and left it! It should not of happened and we were told it could not happen and did not happen! Anyway... aghhhh I was tempted to do a youtube too!

That is terrible!! My daughter’s boyfriend is Australian and he had left a month before she had. That was an ordeal and a half as you can imagine. The two weeks in the quarantine hotel was a welcome relief!

WHAT?!! That sounds like dealing with my internet provider! We were considering a hop over to London in August, if we both get our second jabs. I’m that person screen shots notes time day who am I speaking with and when it’s really bad I tell them I will be recording their conversation with me . Holy crap so sorry this happened to you. Lucky we have a testing centre right in our truckstop and its R850 for a PCR test that they conduct, send it to JHB and within 24hours you have yoyr results and can cross the border. (if you tested negative). We dont have self tests here yet and maybe thats a good thing because of the creative business people here 😂😂😂😂😂😂

UPDATE AS OF 15 SEPTEMBER 2021: There are no more amber countries in the UK! Canada (and many others) are now “green” countries. IF you have had two vaccines recognised by the UK - you do not need a negative PCR test before entering the UK anymore. And no more quarantine. Red countries still require expensive hotel quarantine and various PCR tests. The testing scams still exist today …

THANK YOU . maybe this will help some people WAKE UP!! and see the control this admunistration is trying to do in many many ways.
